    Anne left

me without the bus pass and I had to walk down to Clairview. That would ordinarily be fine if I hadn’t had her bag and mine too carry in 45k wind and blowing snow. When I got there Anne wasn’t there. I had a long wait for her to show up and she realized she had the bus pass. She went all the way back home to see if I was there and I wasn’t so she had to walk all the way back. Okay, we’re over that now. I ended up having a pretty good night pulling in $830. We got off work a bit early and I caught a train to the University and went to Chapters but I caught my stop a bit short and met some Salvation Army people in their Yellow Jackets and red shield delivering Hot chocolate to the homeless. They helped me to see some of the lights because not all crossings had lights. I could see the Chapters sign up ahead and I got in to pick up the 2 Karen Traviss books I wanted from earlier. I had a long wait out there for that bus and a longer wait for the train but I would gave been home sooner. I doubled back to the end of the line and a long wait there and a 15 min wait at Clairview, yeesh what a night.

Right now and for overnight it’s –6/15 and snowing. Should be that way all morning and that’s my wake up go into work weather as well.

The Oilers lost in Denver 4-1 last night. Oww. I watched ECW and enjoyed that. Nothing spectacular but I couldn’t find Monster Pr Wrestling on Access. It’s a small Independent wrestling promotion but they had some yoga crap on instead.

I’m up early to get the staff their donuts and my breakfast sandwich and put my last 4-hour shift in for the day and after that I plan on going to go over to get my haircut. That’s all for now.

it’s shortly after 8am as I write this and even though the temperature outside is something like –6* it’s really more like –15* with the wind chill.

I got another "reminder" from Chris over there at Static Movement on Keith Graham’s site is where he asked about the story POS. But after reading some of the stories in SM I feel in no way my writing is even close to being at that caliber. Read "Cross hairs" at Sciencefictional and read some of their stories and I think you’ll agree. I’m not saying my writing is bad but it certainly isn’t in the same camp as some of those stories. I’m just trying to be honest here. This is not a self-esteem issue either. I just don’t think my writing is there yet but it’s not up to me to judge it’s up to Chris at SM, which is why I suggested he go to Keith’s Sciencefictional and read for himself. My writing I think is getting better.

So why do I kick myself? I’m not. That’s why I wouldn’t mind submitting to the pro markets to get an indication as to where my writing is at. If by the off chance someone does buy my work then fine, if not fine. At least I’m out there. And getting my work read in places like Keith’s site and other’s then fine.

The other thing is I'm a writer in a vacuum. I haven't any access to a writers group that can critique my work for me so there's really no way I can see my growth as a writer. Well to an extent.

Anyway, it’s off to post this.
