Uggh, what a |
|
day. I had a brief wait for the bus to Clairview train and it wasn’t that bad out there, a nice wake up ride into Tim’s. I got my breakfast sandwich and the 3 doz and it wasn’t as bad as I thought going into work across the parking lot.
Actually it was really easy going. I saved a nice cream filled donut for Anne since I can’t eat them. She may as well get one/week. JT sat with me and we had a full crew of tap shooters, even though Pat wasn’t there and Doug our slum landlord and Plinko guy got himself another job. I had $530 by break. I thought I’d go down to the main floor and check out the "M’Lord Barber shop" to see if I can get a haircut before he closes up shop. But he had one guy in the chair and ine waiting and a new guy come in.
But he had to turn me away saying that he had a full plate today. These were older guys to mostly seniors, my kind of place. Rats. So I went upstairs and continued working. I ended up doing $865. Outstanding. No credit cards.
So Wayne rode the train to Stadium with us and Don rode to Rexall Place with me and I rode the rest of the way home. After a brief wait for the bus I was deciding what to do about my haircut. I committed myself to getting off at Michael’s up here and walked the overnight drifting snow packed sidewalk. It was really tough going. I finally got to the haircut place (this is not a barber but a chain. Great Clips or something like that.) When I walked through the door their small waiting reception room was full. I thought, ‘Oh no not again.’ but there were just people waiting for others. They took me in right away and now I got a snazzy new haircut. I took a different approach home walking between the parking lots and I got home shortly before 4pm. Anne likes my new hair cut and I do too.
When I got home, I had a nap or tried to but I snore when I sleep and I keep waking myself up. I think I had maybe a half hour nap as Anne went out for Chinese food. Well "Chinese food" to me is rice, chicken ball and boneless pork. Let me tell you, Boneless pork toughens up in the microwave folks. We watched The Beverley Hillbillies with that and well, here I am.
I’ve had a great week. We have enough for our rent and January’s rent is covered. I Internet is caught up and the job is going well. Other then this cold, things couldn’t be better.
This works out great because tomorrow Anne and I are going out for our Sawmill dinner. I already paid for her xmas present and I’ve got enough covered for Markus for my website/hosting and still $70 bucks and some change left over for me. Not to shabby. I think before we go over to the Sawmill, I’ll go pick up that David Byrne Cd,
Then Sawmill for Dinner and we’ll walk down to Jasper Ave and I’ll get off at Shoppers for my test strips (free thanks to Alberta monitoring) catch a bus to Carona and then get those Euros off to Markus. I hope everything WU goes along with out a hitch. Then, I’ll get the train and catch up with Anne at home, and that’s my weekend.
So, right now, it’s time to work on POS E. Including the original draft this is my 6th revision. Hopefully, I’ll have 7 and 8 done for tonight.
