yeesh

Anne and I go into work and everything’s fine. I get into work and as I’m getting coffee Tony hands me a message. Apparently while I was out and coming in the Doctor’s office called reminding me to confirm the appointment for this Friday 18:25am. Yeesh. Of course I tried to call directory assistance which is most of the time useless and they couldn’t help me get the phone number. I knew they were closed at 4pm anyway. Now I’ve got to get out use the pay phone and track down the source of the message, if the appointment is for Wednesday or Friday. Now I’m confused. One phone call will straiten this all up. Anyway, for the first day of OTH it went pretty slow. It took half an hour to get a sale while everyone was getting $100’s etc. I managed to get $530 and 2 credit cards. I had maybe a half-doz people comment about the article in the paper. For opening day, the campaign wasn’t well received. The first day last year I did a grand, Anyway after work I got my wife and I some Tim’s and I caught the late bus but I got home at 10pm, watch bits and pieces of the Oiler’s@King’s hockey game and Raw. The Oilers won in LA on the road and in OT. Excellent. Raw was pretty good last night. On a scale from 1-10 I’d say, a 7.

what a mess I’ll know in an hour what day I’m supposed to go in for this operation. My Doctor’s office calls for Friday and before it was supposed to be Jan 10th, tomorrow. I’m confused but a quick call when they re open the office at 1:15pm will hopefully demystify everything for me.

Our weather here is supposed to worsen over the next few days. Temperatures are expected to drop down to the –20’s for a few days then recover by about this time next week. We’ve had it pretty good all December so a few days into the deep freeze shouldn’t’ surprise anyone.

If my operation is scheduled for Friday then great, I’m going to take Saturday off but I’ll be paying for that by working a few afternoons this week tomorrow and Thursday. That way, I’ll have 22 hours in and I can go in Friday morning. After the operation Anne and I can go out and get a bite to eat if the operation is a success and I can go home and relax. Vision corrected, 2 days off. Hopefully.

I walked over to the pay phone and called and I need to be there for tomorrow, Jan 10th. Now if I get instant results and all, I’ll go in on Friday afternoon and work Saturday.

When I walked out there I was met by a light snowfall but it’s very mild out there as well. So the weather change begins today.

I’m hoping for instant results from this operation tomorrow and my vision restored. If such is the case then great I’ll take Thursday off and go in for Friday and Saturday.

This will give me 17 hours. Well, then it’s one more sleep.
