Well sort of.. |

Anne picked up our mail on our way out and we had a brief wait at the bus shelter and we caught our bus in a few minutes. At least the buses were running normally. So on the bus Anne is trying to get my attention and we got a GST cheaque in the mail for over $100, Nice. Then we got the train without too much waiting and let me tell you, it was like white out conditions out there. We got to Coliseum and the wind wasn’t that bad. After a brief wait there we got out other bus to Kingsway and then another bus to the Royal Alex. We didn’t know where to go but admissions guided us to the eye section and we got registered and Anne went to get coffee as they have a Tim’s there and I got some eye drops and Anne returned with the coffee. It’s a bitch of a day out there. Anne pointed to a door adjacent to the bathroom that said something like radiation alert or something like that. After a few minutes my Doctor called for me. This room was no larger then his own offices. The machine was just like a standard eye type machine. I put my chin on the rest and forehead to the plastic and he maneuvered the unit and I saw the lights work at me but there was a slight problem and I was asked to wait a bit as he seemed to be having trouble with the machine. After a long wait I went in and he got my right eye done but there were complications with my left eye. My good eye-which apparently wanders around too much, So there was essentially nothing he could do further. But he did say that the other specialist the one Anne and I went to last Nov.20th does these types of operations and will try and do something next week. So this caused some contention between Anne and I after we talked about it. So we walked all the way to Kingsway to the food court and I had this on my mind when all I wanted to do was to go home. Anne even had a fall on the ice and snow buildup at the corner crosswalk by Kingsway. So after what seemed like a forever walk we finally got inside The Bay and went to the food court and had a bite to eat. After that a walk to the buses and we caught the bus back to Coliseums and then after a wait, to Clairview. From there I called the Doctors office and the secretary there said that my Doctor and the eye specialist were conferring what to do and that I’m to call Wednesday to find out more about what’s going on. Apparently I’m to have eye surgery again and most like ly I’ll have to go in on the 24th. So, long story short, I’m not out of the woods yet folks. In other words the operation today was only partially successful.
