we left out of here in good spirits, even though it was hard to adjust from a weekend, and a “long weekend” at that. The train in was nice and heading towards the office was without incident. The shift was just winding down when I got there and I settled in to have my coffee and phased into the job quietly. We did optimist in Winnipeg and that meant we got off at 8:30pm. Excellent. I was semi taping all night with moderate success and ended up doing $240 for what really was a 3-hour shift. I got out at 8:30pm and wanted to avoid D and I did and met my wife at Bay Station and home. Because I missed that 8:35 train and a long wait at Clairview, I got home at my usual time, so there was no real gain, I didn’t benefit from the half hour off. Also, JY was calling everyone’s totals at the same time. I would have been there earlier as well but I made a bathroom stop on my way out.

Also this evening the Oilers lost their 4^th strait on the road but they got a point. The bad news is the Wild got a point and the Av’s won. I think the Oilers are something like 8 points away from the playoff cut and St. Louis is right behind us. I even heard a rumor from JT that the Oilers possibly got rid of Bergeron to make room for salary cap and to get Bill Gurin. We had him here as an Oiler before back in 1997 playing for Ron Low. I don’t know if this s true or not but it’s only a rumor so it’s probably not true.  

Anyway, I ended up working on “F” completing 1658 words for Tuesday. Total words at 59,846 words and I’m at scene #35. Not even half the way into the book. I’d say I’m at 60% of the story. I’m going to have to do a lot of slash and burn to get down to 100k. Put it this way, I’ll be done by Daylight Savings Time March 11. This way, I can concentrate on working on the outline of “S” and getting that ready to write April 1^st.

Speaking of DST, It will be March 11^th this year, the 2^ndnd Sunday in April. But we here in Canada are following the Americans lead to help them save energy. I like it this way mainly because we get an extra hour of “daylight”. Well, in theory that is. Sunday in March. Usually DST is the 2

I got that email from Markus and he hadn’t picked up the money yet because it was “Carnival” over there. What ever that means. He said he’ll pick the funds up today and I asked him to email me when he received the funds for confirmation. So I can breath easier.
