well, I got up to do the cbi thing fine and well around 6:30am and had trouble going back to sleep after that. Anne got up several times. She’s not going in for work today and talked me into staying home as well but I won’t go into the lodge Thursday. Instead I’ll go in for the 15th. Anne is still traumatic over the incident last night and I’m a bit upset over this as well so at 4:45 I’m calling JT to let him know I won’t be in for tonight but I’ll be in for tomorrow afternoon and evening. No lodge Thursday.
SF Signal is generating some discussion over the next Star Trek movie. My comment is here, 3rd one down the list.
There’s a circular going around our lodge asking for volunteers to work the count room for our scholarship charity. I kind of like the idea but I’ve never been in a Casino before. Normally we raise most of our funds from Bingo’s but since the anti smoking bylaw has come into effect a lot of Bingo’s are closing. But Casino’s are on the way up. I’d like to work the count room but the way my vision is now, would be uncomfortable. I mean I can see to count money and all but I might miss something. Besides, by this time next week, I’ll be going in for a 2nd yag and I hope this time Dr. M can fix my vision. I think all he’s going to be able to do is go through the motions and same results from last time only to tell me what the next thing him and the specialist will do. I’d like to work a Casino. Might be fun and when my vision is restored I’d like to give it a try.
Also, tonight I can work on “F” and make some headway. A;; the rough draft is about is making sure the basic elements are in play, the events that make up the architecture of the story, the colorful phrase, the dramatic narrative, the exposition all come into play during the rewrites and that part is the most fun. Getting the scenes worked out in the initial rough draft I think is the hardest but it’s all fun.
OK some hours later I called JT at work to let him know what happened earlier and how I wouldn't be in tonight. We're too stressed out about what happened and all.
So before that around 2pm I got into some more "F" and managed another 2, 147 words and just over 68k onto the story. I figure I'll have to trim and splice some of those scenes and at 42 scenes for some of the larger ones, I can get an extra 8 scenes out of the top heavy word count ones. That will bring me to 50 scenes and I'll need another thirty scenes. However I have only 32k left, or about 1000k/scene. I liked scene 41, which is Bill's scene as he's struggling through the woods and realizes a deep dark secret.
I might post some of this for later.
