Because I can't think up a title today. Raw was on half an hour earlier while I was typing the above. It wasn’t a bad show. I’d say on a scale from 1-10 I’d rate it about a 5. Not bad but ok.

I’m kind of excited about this new comic book store opening up here April 1^st. “Happy Harbor 2” From the pictures of the store, it looks pretty good. I don’t know what it can provide for me but maybe an outlet for sci fi books and graphic novels. They might even have some in house gaming like the old “Adventure gaming supplies.” But I’m wondering if I’ve out grown that stuff? As we get older our tastes change. I can’t see myself opening up a comic file again and into comic books at my age. I mean, that was all fine and well even up until my 30’s but now that I’m in my 50’s and mid 50’s at that, I can’t see myself into Storing away 8-20 comic book titles/month. A current issue of Spiderman for example is $3.95CND never mind the GST. $4.19 CND. 20 titles would be $83/month and I don’t see Anne approving me getting something like that. Now for the in store gaming and all, sure I can understand this. But I doubt there are gamers my age or even gamers playing ASL. I’d like that or even traditional operational level games like Stalingrad. Sadly, my old comic buying days are behind me. I’m sure the artwork has improved by leaps and bounds and so have the stories but the prices have made them beyond my reach. All though when Happy Harbor 2 opens it’s doors April 1^st, I’ll be there that weekend just to check it out. 

we got to bed shortly before 3am and listened to a bit of Coast With George reminding listeners to be mindful of the upcoming early daylight savings time (DST) what it being a few weeks early this year, to check our computers for updates within what ever OS we are using. Since MS apparently doesn’t support it’s older OS’s before Vista and Xp, there could be a DST internal clock setting conflict. So I got up to do some research on my own system and I learned through some message boards that it’s not a big deal. All I need do is go into Control panel and change the time setting from there. But it was 4am when I discovered this so I may as well stay up until 5am and do the cbi thing. I went to bed after that.

On RJS’s blog he had a link to a Canadian publisher I’m interested in.  Edge publications, in Calgary, they publish strictly SF/Fantasy. They are Small Press concern but RJS thinks very highly of them. Some of their authors are in Fantastic fiction as well. Since I want my work to firstly be published in Canada and then branch out to the big press etc Edge publications is another option other then RJS’s line of books. Once the 2^nd draft is completed, I think I’ll pitch my story idea “F” to them. See if they like the concept and if they’d be interested in seeing a few sample chapters. Second draft will be completed in June.

After Raw, I went right to work on “F” and I did one scene. That took me up until 1:30am. I think I did some research from there and tinkered around on the outline for “S” As far as “F” goes I’m closing in on 78k. What with being “off” tomorrow after my eye thing, I should be at 80k I should be around 85k Saturday night. I’m right on track.
