Spring is almost here

A nice spring like day yesterday and for the rest of the week..

Actually yesterday’s yag laser treatment gave me maybe 2% vision increase if even that. The whole exchange with Dr. M in that little room took all but 15 minutes if that. So now we get to do it all over again in another 6 weeks. This time his big deal was the contact lens he inserts in my eye. He gave me two sets of drops, one that burned and the other that cooled. The lens keeps the eye steady but he said that scientists haven’t made one yet for my eye type. “They keep talking about it,” So what’s he hope will happen in 6 weeks?

Anyway, I ended up 1,321 words yesterday and broke 80.455. Or 80k at last and hopefully I’ll be at 85k Saturday night. The rough draft is almost completed but after that the real work begins in the 2nd and 3rd drafts. I think August is a bit too ambitious for me more like Feb 2008. In the meantime I can write more short stories. If I can do one novel/year and a whack of short stories, I’d be happy with that.

When I was over at Future Shop earlier I saw some really nice all in one color laser printer/scanners. Until I get this vision restored I’ll have to read books from scanner to monitor. The thing is now that I have to wait until April 18th for the next Yag laser treatment I’m going to have to do most of my reading on the monitor. However, I still will write “S” for April 15th. But like I said “F” probably won’t be ready for actual submission until Feb ’08 and most likely “S” on the heels of that. I have “Rb” completed and “F” after that. So, it will be “F”. “S” “Rb” With what I have for “S” “F” probably will stand to be my best chance at novel publication. I mean in a professional market.
