    Bonus day

I got out there to a beautiful spring morning well for me anyway. –3* no wind sunny. Nice nobody around. My train came by a few min once I got to the platform. I hunkered down to my fav seat on a Saturday morning fresh battery in my MP3 player and my tunes on, despite my blurred vision I had a nice morning going in. I got begged upon from the Saturday morning beggars on my way into Tim’s. I just ignore them. I had my headphone in my pocket my fault and I was tired and I could have bitten her head off. So I got my breakfast sandwich and a nice leisurely walk into work. I put my headphones back in my ear. I had David Byrne in my ear and there she was again working her way over to me but the headphones repelled her away. I hated to do that but I work hard for my money and I’m not going to give it away to somebody that couldn’t care if I live or die or knows nothing about me. That was the only negative part about the morning. I got into the office had my breaky and coffee JT brought the donuts in and I scooped up one for latter for desert this evening. So, we were going to do CCSD Taps. I ended up with just over $825 by break and a $125 credit card. The three bonuses on the board were 1st, 2nd 3rd top totals but you had to have one credit card to qualify. I had 3 by the end of the shift and something like $20 bucks/one sale away from dropping from 1st place to 2nd place. So I won the $20 bonus to be on my cheaque. We also got out a half an hour earlier. I walked on my own without a shadow into the warmth of the afternoon. A brief wait for my train, I put my tunes on. “Queen” and I was home in the apartment at 2:40pm. I had a great day.

So, I’m going to blog this and get to work on “F” until 8pm. No Oiler jockey game on until tomorrow night. Looks like last year’s Stanley cup winners are struggling for the last playoff spot in the East. Sounds only fitting since the Oilers were one game away from winning it all. The won that Saturday night game 4-0 and then they fly into North Carolina and they beat us on their home ice in a game 7 4-3 June 19th 2006. That will be the Oilers last chance to get to a Stanley Cup, If and when they do get there it won’t be for years. Since losing that great team, Chris Pronger, Mike Peca, Samsonov, Bergeron and Ryan Smyth. The Oilers chances of ever getting to a Stanley Cup finale are finished. So it’s only fitting that Carolina doesn’t get in either. June 17th 2006 was the best game I’ve ever seen the Oilers play since when Gretzky was here. Right now their lucky if they can score 2 goals in a game. So if Carolina is ousted from a playoff spot then good. What really did it for the Oilers this year was losing Ethan Morrow so early and of course Ryan Smyth. Time to quit whining and move on, but man, June 17th 2006, I’ll never forget it.
