what a disaster |
|
I got up to do the cbi thing about 6:30am and after that, the disaster began. For starters I had to get up to use the bathroom 4 times this morning after the cbi thing. Then Sparky comes in I don’t know how long to wake me up every 20 min or less even. Somethings got him going. Then I realized what it was and the cause of my recent throat virus: Anne had the window open a crack all morning. This attracts and excites the cat that is roaming around all over the bed, mostly over my feet. Plus Anne has this psycho weird woman pain twitch in her leg that moves a round with a mind of it’s own every 2 min. Plus me being alight sleeper, nobody could get a good sleep through all of that. I’m not mad at her or anything, just pissed at the events of the morning causing me to get no sleep. I got to bed a 2:40am and that’s our usual time and even listening a bit later for the 2nd half of Coast, because they had a great guest.
Just one more thing on this global warming issue, C02 emissions are not the main cause of global warming. Close to it. Of anything, global warming is caused by earth and solar cycles. I’, mot saying that human activity hasn’t helped to move it along a little but not to the degree the Kyoto accord and the alarmists would have us believe. Should we be concerned? Sure we should, to a degree but by halting the use of us using oil is silly. Orson Scot Card has a great article on the subject and can say it a lot better then I can here. But no, by doing what were doing now, we’re not all going to be met with an apocalyptic disaster of epic proportions. The polar ice has all always been melting. The earth will continue to revolve around the Sun on it’s elliptical orbit and no, coastal cities will not be flooded. In other words folks, it’s not your fault.
Ok, enough with that, this is supposed to be my blog to discuss my writing and events that impact my life and I’ve ranted on enough about global warming. Anne’s out to get me my coffee etc and the weather outside is very nice. It’s +5 little wind mostly sunny, beautiful. This afternoon I’m off to work with my wife and over to Chapters for a book. We’ll see. I might just pick up the latest issue of Analog instead. I want some of that $10 for the weekend. A can of beer could be in the forecast. Also, the Oilers hosting the Av’s game is on tonight. Maybe this losing streak is all am elaborate plot of Kevin Low’s to get a first round draft pick for the team.
Anyway, that will possibly be about it for today. Time to check my email and my blog rolls and wind down the afternoon for work. I hope I can do all right despite this virus/cold in my throat. A nice dish of strawberry ice cream will do it.
