I forgot about the Doctor

I was exhausted from lack if sleep all morning and I figured at 1:30pm, I’d crawl into bed foe a little cat nap, I was half awake when Anne came in and mumbled something to me. So I woke up about 2:45 figuring I’ll grab a shower and Anne was out. Most likely went to sell her bottles. I put a couple of cans of pop in the fridge for me and I’d figure even if she’s not home by 4pm, I can head into work anyway. What if she took the bus pass? Ooops, she did. She did mention something maybe I should take the day off and without the bus pass and making me a 3pm meal I figured she already had her mind made up that I’d take the day off. So at 5pm if there’s any time on the cell phone, I’ll give JT a call. Even if I went into work this evening as I’d planned because of the holiday off Friday and working Thursday nigh Saturday morning, I’d get a total of 19 hours anyway. So, I’ll go into work tomorrow afternoon and make up the 3 hours. That will still give me 19 hours. Even with this evening, as I’d normally plan, this will give me 19 hours as long as I put Thursday afternoon in. Wait now, I recall Anne had a Doctors appointment this afternoon on her day off, which is why she took the bus pass. Uh-oh and with no way to call into work, I’m screwed. So, this way, I’ll go in for tomorrow afternoon. Sorry JT.

That said, I’m just waiting for Anne to return. I don’t feel to bad after that power nap and I can always catch up on my sleep latter. I also want to work on my story as of yet untitled. Vut there is no Oiler hockey game on tonight so that’s a good thing and I’ll get my pay cheaque tomorrow night as well.

I was doing more research on the global warming issue and like Orson Scott Card and Neal Asher I remain a global warming skeptic and that’s all I’m going to say on the topic, except I’ll be working on an essay on the subject wherein I’ll be citing my sources with the body if the overall article.

Also this summer I plan on working on my first Masonic paper: Occult influences on Freemasonry, this should be a good one. Neil had cautioned me that any paper I might give ought to be no more then ten minutes long. But this is if and when my vision improves. If I get some positive feedback at the festive board then I’ll provide the sequel. Part two. Our lodge and Masonry in general is not bent esoterically speaking. Most craft lodges like our own are more mundane. If my papers are well received I might do more. The other thing I’m considering is joining a Canadian rite body but this would mean juggling creative use of my time stretched enough as it is. There is a Canadian rite lodge I’ve wanted to check out over the last several years at our own Highlands Hall. Neil’s lodge at Highlands is every 2nd Tuesday.

Yes, were still under this cold snap and even Friday they’re calling for a -2 windchill. This has been one of the coldest April’s that I can remember here in Alberta in a long time. Yes we’ve had snow on the ground in April before but ot with a cold snap accompanying it.

For once we’re having supper at a decent time in an unscheduled night off. I was already to go into work tonight until I realized that Anne had her Doctors appointment. Anyway, that’s about all for now.
