I took that gravel pill about 1am and we were in bed by 3am, Coast was a bit lame but the pill was beginning to have its affect on me and I fell asleep. I woke up just after 7am so I had a good 4 hours of sleep and did the cbi thing and went back to bed shortly after 7am. I slept getting up a few times to pee I eventually woke up at about 12:30pm and slept some more until 1:45pm. I’d say I had between 9-11 hours of sleep, so I’m good for the day. What I like about these thing is that they remain in the system long after and for me at least there’s a residual affect the next day but because I have to get up tomorrow at 7am, sleep could be hard to come by tonight after my ECW.

Anne is out and about doing her thing. I’m relaxing sipping on my first coffee. Weather wise it shows –2* out there but there’s a –9* windchill. We’re still under this cold snap and over night there’s a windchill of –18* and they’re calling for a temperature of +11*? I don’t think so. If we get up to a +3* with a –6* windchill, is going to be more like it. We’ve been having this cold snap for about 2 weeks now. This is the coldest April on record that I’ve ever scene and people are panicking over global warming? Yeah right.

All right, I was wrong about something last night. The Oilers have had shutout #11 against them this season. We probably won’t hear anything more from the Oilers until after the playoffs. But the first thing the Oilers owners group should be doing is looking to fire and replace Kevin Lowe. Then fire and replace the coaching staff behind the bench. Now with that in mind, if this can be done even during the playoffs, the Oilers will be in position to spend some money. With the old boys out of here and a new climate with promising new first round draft picks and a new coaching staff and manager the Oilers might be a contender again but they’ve got a long way to go. I mean losing 18/19 games. Obviously they’re planning for something. There’s not much to be excited about if you’re an Oiler fan and the last game of the season is tomorrow night in Calgary. The Oilers could do the Av’s a big favor tomorrow night by going in and win their last game of the season. I think they will in huge fashion too.

What’s on my plate today? Not much. It’s a day of relaxing taking it easy. I’ll most likely go over C and fix up the odd spelling mistake, do some blogging that sort of thing. At least the rent is and for April and my Internet functioning smoothly. Speaking about, which Shaw has had a new modem that apparently can deliver my Internet speed a lot faster. It’s called Shaw extreme. I’ve been using the same modem over the last 8 years now. The modem is  $29 and Anne’s been talking about it for quite awhile now. The laser all in one and the modem are probably going to be the two main computer upgrades for me this year. That and getting my Compaq up and running will be about it and we’re talking about getting me a cell phone. Last night while Anne was at work she has no way of contacting me. She realized she ran out of cat food and if I had my own cell phone, she would be able to call me or at least leave me with a text message so I can pick come up on my way home. Also, where the old Cecil hotel used to be on Jasper and 104^th a block West from where she works they’re building a condo unit with a Sobey’s grocery chain underneath on the main floor. This is just what I heard from the scuttlebutt in the office but if this is the case, this will be a huge boost to us because it’s really on our way home nit this won’t be ready for another year down the road. If then.

Anyway, I hope everybody is enjoying their Easter Friday off. I wish it was a long weekend for me. It is for my wife. One of these days, I’m going to take Fri, Sat, Sun off. Probably in the middle of this month we’ll see.
