Bees, the job and crap

I went to watch Raw it showed it was going to be on for an hour. What the hell? While having lunch we discovered it was a regular 2-hour show but it could have been a lot better. On a scale from 1-10, I’d rate this Raw a 6.

Anyway’s I went to work as Anne waited with me for my bus to Clairview station and surprise, surprise extra cars on the train. Great. I took my Tim’s roll up win cup prize for a free donut but I got the chocolate thing and not the banana cream one I wanted. Of course it’s hard for me to read the label behind the glass display. We had a real small tap crew losing 2 to the 7 pm shift. I had a headache all evening but I ended up with top total doing $435 bucks to earn me top total but since we were calling Winnipeg we could only call until 8:30pm. Hence we got out a half hour earlier. Plus we didn’t get stared until 5:15 and add a 10 min break the shift felt like only 3 hours. Plus I got a $10 bonus for this as well. It was kind of chilly leaving and behind 1st Edmonton place parking lot and into Carona where I had a brief wait and 10 minutes later I was at Clairview. I decided to wait for the bus but at 9pm I walked home instead.

In a comment from J yesterday, J offered a much more realistic reason as to the disappearance of the bees having more to do with pesticides then anything else. Anyway I think his explanation is more reasonable then mine about global warming being responsible. Apparently beehive keepers were trying to control a mite with chemicals. There’s a more thorough explanation on Coasts website.

What else? Well, there’s no fall out from the Oilers not making the playoffs and their dismal season. If the Oilers are going to do anything drastic they will wait until after the playoffs. I don’t think the Owners group is going to do anything with head office or behind the bench. They do need to get a couple of free agents but lots of players don’t want to play for the Oilers because of all the travel time. Still when everything is said and done I think that’s a small part of the overall picture. I still think it’s going to be Nashville and Buffalo in the finale. That’s all for now.
