last night and today.

in making my blog rounds before I left for work, I discovered Robert J Sawyer will be doing a 40 min by telephone interview on Ched at 7:06pm. Right after the break, wonderful I passed along a comment stating I’d be listening. So I shut everything down and gathered my things and went into work. The bank report improved a bit but not by much, JT was still of the opinion that the last holiday did us in but the bank will pick up next week. It better so I did pretty good the first half and I got my walkman ready for the broadcast. This is the first time I heard of RJS and I really enjoyed listening to him He’s a great speaker and easy on the ears to listen to. RJS kind of reminds me of Alberta Liberal Leader Kevin Taft. We got out at 8:30pm with pay but to a freezing rain advisory. When I got outside, slipping on the sidewalks confirmed this but it wasn’t that bad taking the parking lot to Carona. My train came in right away and there were extra cars on the road because of a concert. “Il Divo” in town. I don’t know much about them but beautiful voices. The place was sold out judging by the parking lot. It was easier heading home the rest of the way. A few Ethiopian African kids hanging around mouthing off at each other, making me feel kind of nervous that got off the bus with me.

I had some trouble getting the Flames/Detroit game on but I swapped my batteries into the remote and watched the tail end of the show in progress. The Flames managed to tie the series at 2 games. Damn. Onto the Vancouver/Dallas game in Vancouver, The Canuks had the chance to blow this one away but Dallas came back to stay alive for game 7 in Dallas Saturday night I think. Anne came in and made me a nice soup and sandwich. I watched the news and this took me to where I am now.

This morning I’m up at 8am to get out of here by 8:30m and then it’s to take a bus downtown to Audrey’s to get my copy of Rollback. After that over to Tim’s for my breakfast sandwich and Roll up coffee to go. Then it’s to take my forms over to AHC and get that activated so hopefully head office can see it before they do any payroll. Then if all goes well, I’ll be home by 10:30am and get a couple of hours sleep and a bit more time on the computer and then it’s off to work.

Keith Graham wants to let us know about a story of the day concept he’s looking at implementing. In my initial skimming of his entry he’s going to try and have a story of the day linked to other authors and ezines. Basically as I understand the process, this is a story blurb and a link to that to the whole story where you can read the rest of the story. The only trouble is to weed out the ezines where a reader first must register to the ezine before the reader can finish the story. The process should be as few clicks as possible. The idea has merit. There’s more to it then this though. This is just what I got on the surface. Check out his blog entry  on the subject.

One of my favorite Coast speakers is on tonight: Lionel Fanthorpe. He’s going to be talking about time slips and Deja Vu. Art’s hot a great show on Cosmology on Saturday night with Janna Lavine. Wednesday’s show sounds great. Et contacts.

This week except for Washout Wednesday was pretty good. Today I get my copy of Rollback and a nice breakfast treat and some important business done then home for a brief nap and an easy night. JT even paid us until 9pm, which is pretty good and I even got my copy of Zone alarm pro in case my firewall gets screwy on me. If they’re going to tell me that my licensed version is obsolete, I’ll tell them where to go and I’ll get a router instead.

Anyway, that’s all for now.
