Anyway after lunch I had about 40 minutes to use before I caught my bus so I read scene 5 and most of scene 6. I got my hot water for coffee packed my sandwiches. I shut the place down and locker everything up and my bus came by right away. I was downtown and in the office and let JT know that I’d be off for Wednesday. Having done that day 2 of Baseball went along without a hitch. I even got a $40 credit card and over $400 by the break. It was slow going small semi list after that but I ended up with $486, not to shabby. JT pushed us right to the wire as I barely caught the lrt home and was at Clairview at 9:32pm and home just about 9:40pm.

Anne was late getting home and arrived home shortly before the news and made me lunch. Some interesting local news Our new Premier Ed Stalmach Unveiled more details of the budget surplus. Ed’s going to provide something like $250 million dollars for affordable housing, which means 11,000 units. Now I don’t know how much each City gets what but apparently Edmonton is going to get a large chunk of that money and more and more units will be built this year. There is also talk about how the Province wants to impose some kind of rent control scheme. I don’t know the exact details of these plans but it’s interesting.

By November we’ll know about plans to build a new first class NHL league arena and what those plans will curtail. They have different locations for the arena but I think council prefers the postal lands where the old postal plant currently sits North of the CN building. The idea is to attract first class musical venues and bring it all downtown. What this will do to Rexall place remains to be seen. If the City ratifies everything and we’ll know in November then, this will be a pretty big deal for the City and will bring in hundreds of millions of dollars into the area. It’s like building a Wallmart near by and watch everyone else get attracted to it. Of course this is wont happen for another 5 years yet but it will be interesting when they got it all built.

I also received another email from Markus about a test menu. The test menu functions and does the same things as the menu I had before. What the heck is going on? I don’t know how to do the coding but is it so hard to have Comic Sans 14 horizontal menu as individual word links underneath the orange title in orange? I certainly don’t have the skill to do this. I also asked about getting a photo block and he said for me o send him the photo and he’d “upload it for me.” Well, when I get a decent photo ready. But before this I’ll need a haircut. for obvious reasons.

I’m up at 10am this morning for my Doctor’s appointment. The one I should have had last week. Now I still don’t know what’s going on here but I think I’ll know more today when I come back, operation or not? That’s the question.
