it was a warm and sunny near to the middle of the month afternoon when I went out to catch my bus. I stalled as long as I could downtown and went into the office fearing the worst. Mostly any fallout from the Whipple incident but JT wasn’t anywhere around and everything was just like normal. When JT came up I sat with him and explain what was going on with yesterday. No problem. We ended up doing baseball. I did a respectable $212 bucks. I got my cheaque and my bank was somewhat respectable. I’d say anything over $1500 is good. JT booked us off a bit as we got out of there at 8:10pm and I went over to Audrey’s to see if they had anything for me. Noting yet. So I ordered 3 Anthologies and Cory Doctorow’s “Down and out’”. I picked up a stand alone novel, called “Second Genesis” by Jeffery Anderson. I’m taking another look at SF book series. Just look at them as larger works of a single book. After Audrey’s I headed to Carona and halfway down the stairs I heard my train come in. Shit. So I decided to go upstairs to Tim’s and order a medium decafe and headed back down and waited for my next train. Ten minutes later I was on my way home. After a ten minute wait the clock at Clairview read 9:30pm. Yikes. A brief wait and I was home. Anne was all worried about me but I’m home.
Earlier at the vet good news about Sporty, he’s okay, Nothing terminal. It’s Pledges we’re all worried about. Having gone through the table and if he can survive this, he’s going to have to have all his teeth removed. At $40 tooth this is going to be expensive. We’re looking at maybe $600 for the whole thing but I have my vacation pay and Anne has here’s, which we’re going to take out. The Doctor there is confident that Pledges will survive the table and pull through this. Most people might say because he’s so old we should put him down but I love him too much to not do this. Sure he may only have a few years left but I want him to have those 2-3 years with me. It’s not always the money. I’ve had to many good years with Pledges and we’re not done yet.
All the big headaches are gone, thank God. So tonight, I’m going to have a bite to eat and watch the news and ECW, listen to a bit of Coast and go into work tomorrow morning. JT said we’ve got taps.
