today marks the 27th year of my diary. It would really be on a Monday but this Monday is on the 14th, which is close enough to the approximant day.

On my plate for today is of course the job thing. After that it’s strait home and maybe a nap until game 2 of the Buffalo/Sens game. Last night Detroit took out Anaheim but just barely and it was on home ice as well. I’d love to see a Detroit Ottawa match up and Ottawa win the Stanley Cup.

Also, I’m going to work more on F and maybe read 5 scenes today and 5 more Sunday. I need to do some fancy footwork and some creative editing to cut some of the longer scenes and trim them down. At least I know where to trim the fat.

Since Anne is up early this morning but later then me to go in for her rare Saturday shift, I’m here as per usual Saturday morning. JT arranged it for me or will this morning so I can go in for 3 afternoons. This would give me 32.5 hours and if I put some more hours like that for a few months Rob will be receiving a visit from me for sure.

This last week the Province opened up a housing assistance kiosk in the Labor Market information Center, or in the LMIC building. I know exactly where that is. We probably won’t qualify for housing assistance just yet. From the brief interview a woman said that if someone’s rent went up from say $800-$1200 then that would qualify for rental assistance. We already have had one rental increase and our rent is going up to $730 for a 2 bedroom. If we get another rental increase to $800, I personally don’t think that’s too bad. But from $800-$1200, that’s getting crazy. Even if our rent goes from $800-$1000 the increase is substantial if though at a smaller scale but I think would qualify. But if they raise the rent by $70/year and only once a year, I can understand this. Still it’s nice to know that the Province is stepping in to help people that need the help. I’m afraid as usual we’re going to fall between the cracks.

However, the Sun is shining out there this morning. Anne’s relatively happy as she was just up here for a bit. I’ll be on the road in about 30 minutes for a 4-hour shift. I think all in all over night I had maybe 6 hours sleep.

Work on F continues after the hockey game tonight. After all is said and done the final product will be 100k and ready for an autumn submission date. The outline for my next project is slowly being carved out. Right now it’s just a rough piece of stone.
