Mothers day |
|
we got my itinerary more or less settled. I’m going for tomorrow 1:30-9pm. Same with Tuesday and Wednesday. This week I’m determined to put 32.5 hours in. This means into bed by 1am and up by 10am so I can do my writing etc. I show Rob 3 months of this I can get my medical plan and after I get my vision restored and my teeth done, I’m going to give Rob an ultimatum: $12/hour or I’ll be requesting a letter of recommendation. I won’t be making more money at Pizza 73 but al least it’s an inbound call center and I can have most of my evenings and weekends off. I’d go in for the 11pm-4am shift, something like that.
I read 2 more scenes from F today and it’s rolling along quite well. There’s way too much dialogue in the story and I need to cut it down. The whole story however needs to be re written from beginning to end but the basics are there.
Word is a nice functional program but I need it to do more. I need it to do things like how many quotation marks I have basically I need it to behave like a concordance. Now if I could get a combination concordance word processor that would be really useful. A concordance is a tool that tells you the quantity of something. Excel can probably do the same thing but the learning curve on Excel is pretty high. I have Excel but I don’t know how to use it. Word is easy enough but Excel is a bit of a challenge. There are some free Concordances on the web but they leave a little to be desired and most of them are Bible or Shakespeare related.
I’m about to have brunch and after that we’re going to give our cats their meds. Pledges is good with this and so is Sporty but Sparky is a bit of a challenge trying to get him to take that pill.
I took the gravel pill last night about 1am and and we went to bed about 2:45, I passed out at about 3am and I woke up at about 7am to do the cbi thing and went back to bed. I slept from just about after 7 until about 1pm. So I had enough sleep. This afternoon it’s brunch, cats, F and the hockey game starts at 5:30 Edmonton time.
Looks like a nice day out there for a mothers day.
That’s all for now.
