Anne left out with me to feed the birds and sure enough the bus was right behind the blind spot by the parkade stairwell blocking the set of lights. I could tell by the traffic slowing down and I knew the bus was right at the lights. Sure enough I dashed for the bus stop and there was the bus waiting. Bastard. I caught the bus to the station and after a brief wait on my way into work. I had a good start getting a couple of $50 taps and a $35 credit card. We were playing for a point bonus most points wins. I won a $15 bonus having top total. I could live with that. JT and I listened to the Sens/Sabers hockey game in the 2nd period at the break. I got JT to sign the pension form but he signed it in red ink. That’ll come back. Anne’s going, to ask about the red witness ink but if it’s a no show I’ll get JT to resign it again. I didn’t have a pen with me or in my bag since I marked my recap using a pencil. Anyway. Good news, the Sens won the game at 2-0. They now take a 3-0 series lead. Only 3 teams in NHL history have ever come back from a 3-0 lead. Add insult to injury game 4 is in Ottawa. This has all the earmarks of a series sweep. Now if Detroit can do their part and win their series the Sens have the series. The Sens can’t cut the travel from Ottawa to Anaheim. That will kill them. However if the Sens wrap their series up Thursday and they wait for the outcome of the Detroit/Anaheim game, the longer that goes the better it is for the Sens. I’m hoping Detroit/Anaheim go 7 games. Anaheim hasn’t the experience in the 2nd round little alone in the finale. This will give Ottawa a well-rested team a better chance. Just like Anaheim against Vancouver. If the D/A game goes 7 games game 7 should be May 24th Ottawa then would have 8 days off if the game starts on the 26th. if the D/A game goes 7. Could there be a Canadian Stanley Cup Champion at last? Canada hasn’t won a Stanley Cup since the 1993 Montreal Canadians 14 years ago. The Edmonton Oilers came close last year. Anyway I won the $15 bonus sharing it with Svere, the little Egyptian fella. Nice guy. Him and I always got along. He got the $10. Since we’re calling Winnipeg we got out at 8:30pm but unfortunate we didn’t get paid until 9pm but the $15 bonus helped made up for it. I got my train uneventfully as always and home by 9pm, now time for some wrestling.
I’m up early at 10am in the morning so I can have an of me time and I’m off to take my lunch extra sandwiches and insulin and off into work. Because of the Winnipeg calling time, I’m still determined to put 31.6 hours in this week. That’s all for now.
