I left this morning about 5 min before 9am and my bus came along immediately so I think I missed that 9am bus last week. I had an uneventful ride into work even though going in was on a crowded train. I’m not down on babies as my rant above might seem but on the train this morning This couple brings this made for a hoard, 3 babies and a mother boarded the train and she was pulling these kids along like it’s a big inconvenience. Knowing what we know now. I’d hate to be borne in this world. I bet my parents felt the same way sometimes when I was borne in the middle of the Cold War. The world turned out all right by me but they had no for knowledge of this any more then I have for future generations. Anyway, I’ll get off that. I got my dialer and we ended up doing Baseball and I got a $40 credit card and $314 sale and since I was 2nd from top total with a credit card I got a $10 bonus added to my $15 from Monday. If JT added my hours in correctly, I should get 31.5 hours @ $308.50. After the Feds take their cut I might have $275. Maybe. I was getting wiped out at 1pm but no worse for rare if I hadn’t done the extra 9 hours. So regardless the extra shifts were not a factor. I was taking the stairs down when I heard the train pull in and was lucky enough to board it, another uneventful ride home and no change in the weather since this morning. I got in to watch the last few minutes of the Ottawa/Sabers game. Ottawa was in the lead 2-1 late in the 3rd. Buffalo came back to tie to force overtime but Ottawa came back to win the game and the series. Nobody here want’s Anaheim in the finale. That game is on Sports Net D/A tomorrow afternoon at 1pm. I had a nap for an hour and Anne came in and here I am.
So, now I have 2 days off. In the end I was kind of hoping Buffalo would tie the game to force a game #6 so I can have hockey to watch on holiday Monday. But just the same, I’m glad Ottawa won. We’ve been having Canadian teams in the finale lately. Calgary before the CBA and the Oilers last year and now Ottawa this year.
Next weekend is the 27th anniversary of “The Empire Strikes back,” my favorite of all the original Star Wars films. In my opinion Star Wars is bt far the greatest Science Fiction movie ever made. ESB was the best movie out of that Trilogy, however I have to give the 2nd installment with 2005’s “Revenge of the Sith”, a 10/10. Last of the great Space Opera’s. Not even the upcoming Star Trek X1 from what I’ve been reading about can even come close. The thing I remember most about the movie is what went on before. That was the weekend Richard Ellen and I had “fighter practice.” The last time before this year I received an income tax refund. That was a special weekend in my life and the anniversary is coming up next weekend.
Anyway, that’s about all for now.
