Last night

I completed the scene splicing and dicing sequence just before I left to get ready. I had a quick shower and got my stuff and made sure all the cats were inside. I couldn’t find Silky but I was sure he was around. I got into the office just as the shift was changing. Rob posted the bank report. Not that great with only $1100 banked this week but that should pick up with the extra hours I’m putting in. I’m in for tomorrow Thursday and Friday as well as Saturday. This should get me 28.5 hours including my stat pay. SPO shpi;d get about $100 for myself. This week the cash is going towards Pledges. Next week, it’s going towards the cats for their booster shots. I might get some cash the week after the rent is paid. No bonus money tonight because we had such a dismal evening. When I left Anaheim was leading in the 3rd 3-0. Yikes. Doing a TD run for Baseball, what did he expect? I had a nice uneventful ride home and came into find my wife home and all the putty cats inside. I watched the last bit of the Detroit/Anaheim game. To my surprise Detroit scored 3 goals and with a few minutes left they were down by 1 and were coming on but couldn’t get the job done. It’s going to be Ottawa and Anaheim in the finale. Knowing the NHL how favorite they are to American teams they’ll want to have Anaheim rest a bit and start probably fresh on Saturday. They wouldn’t do that for the Oilers last year because the NHL hates the Oilers. I think this is in part due to the ownership group and the fact that the Oilers are the least favorite NHL team for players to play in. There is some rumors that no one likes the coaching staff and there are probably other items as well.

Anne made me a nice lunch and after the news I went right back to work on organizing my scenes. After an aggressive splicing and dicing marathon I have 80 scenes. Eighty scenes that make sense and that I’m happy with. Sure some scenes are short and others long but I think the longest one is something like 1500 words and I have 2 scenes that long, scene #9 and scene #45. The next thing I want to do is to lay out my material into scene and sequel. After that the real rewriting begins. The trouble with where I’m at right now is there is too much dialogue and I think too much dialogue weakens the story. Dialogue is good for pacing. It’s not that I’m going to go out of my way to red8ce dialogue.

Anyway, Anne is going to be taking Pledges in to the vet and I’ve got a full day. I’m not too happy about possibly receiving some bad news about my cat.

That’s all for now.
