JT let us out early because we were calling Winnipeg for Baseball since essentially Bonanza is dead. So this morning Anne had to go to take Pledges for another shot and hopefully that will provide him with some relief over night. He’s able to eat so that’s the important thing. Anne cut it really close and just arrived shortly around noon. I had a quick frozen pasta kind of a thing and rushed that and got out to the bus stop and then to the train. A brief wait there and into work just as the shift ended. Back to CBF and it was a bit slower but I was apart of the credit card race and qualified on the board. I got my cheaque and everything was right there. My $10 increase in pay, my 31.5 hours. The only discrepancy was I thought I was going to get a $30 bonus, instead all I got was $25 but that’s not to bad. The good news is I got a $15 bonus this afternoon so that makes $20 yesterday and $15 for today= $35. Sweet. Not only that but I’ll have 25.5 hours I’ll have about $335 on my cheaque next week. Now if all this comes together and everything correct, I should have about the same cheaque next week as I did tonight. Excellent. Next week, since there is no lodge night, I’ll be putting in the 31.5 hours in again. I could expect about $275 on my cheaque including any bonuses. Pledges feeling better, the raise came in. The only thing I need now is to get my teeth fixed up and my eyes done this year and I’d be a happy man.

The other thing I’m really going to speak to Neil about is how the heck in the light of this housing crunch can we qualify to get a mortgage. I’d love to get a 25-year mortgage so Anne and I can have our rent around the $600 a month range for a 2-bedroom apartment. Neil is our lodge organist and is a manager of a property management firm. He just manages property he’s not the owner but I’m hoping he could advise me on how to proceed with this. I’m not going to broach the subject this summer but in the fall after several months worth of these hour maybe he can suggest something for us and or facilitate how to proceed.

This year, I’d like my vision restored, my teeth done up our housing situation under control or basically out of where we are now, a big screen flat HDTV screen, if we can get all that done up then I’d be a happy man. Also having a novel accepted for publication wouldn’t be tough to take either to round out the year.

This weekend 27 years ago marks the weekend we went to watch Empire Strikes Back. What a weekend that was.

About half way through organizing my material for F and it’s going fairly well. I’m not sure what I’m going to be doing with this information but I’m sure I can apply it somehow.

Anne’s out at the bank right now cashing the cheaque and taking care of business. She’s got a roast chicken in the oven and mash potatoes/veggies for supper tonight. We’ll watch the news and I’ll listen to Coast. The best part is I get to sleep in for tomorrow morning and that aint to bad to take.
