another nice looking day out there but we sure could use some rain. I was in bed at 1:30 and I fell asleep about 2:30am and woke up to do the cbi thing about 6am and I went right to bed. This is when I have trouble sleeping. An hour later I was out. I think I slept from 7-10 nit it sure didn’t feel like I slept 7 hours. I’m exhausted. I could use another 4 hours sleep but this is the last of my 3/7 hour shifts for this week.
I did a bsl reading and I’m at 9.9, which is pretty high for a diabetic but lots of diabetics have unstable blood sugar levels. In my case it bounces around but it’s usually fairly consistent. I’ve been walking back from Clairview station at night and exercise what little I get helps to regulate my bsl readings. Also after I eat, my bsl goes up but I don’t want to walk to Clairview station from here after I leave at 12:49 this afternoon. I’d come into work all sweaty and smelly and I don’t want that.
Anne made the suggestion that we look into getting a Rent to own 50” big screen tv from the Rent to own store down the block from here. No doubt this tv will end up costing double what the retail value of it would be. Anne’s thinking we put something like $700 down when she gets her pension money in around the end of June or so and reduce the cost down and maybe the monthly payments as well. I don’t know. Seems like a lot of money to watch tv. What we have is fine right now and serves our purposes. The only thin I watch on tv are the older shows, hockey, wrestling and the news.
I was waiting at my bus stop and Anne comes out feeling all happy and tells me she got the letter to release her pension funds for the amount she requested. I’m going to get a couple of books at Audrey’s tomorrow and I’m applying them to May as I got just 2 books for May. Great news. So I went into work feeling good. It was a beautiful day out there about +28 perhaps warmer. I got into the office and began work. Rob moved me to the taps and these were $100-$50 taps. I got a few of them but nobody loved me today. I probably had the lowest total of all us tap shooters and by break I was under $200 and not feeling very good about myself. Rob never said anything to me because he knew I was trying. I did a bit better in the 2nd half closing out at $365 and 2 credit cards. I even got my cheaque of $293 including the bonuses and stat pay. Perfect. So we have enough for Pledges our rent bus pass and whatever else. I was kind of hoping I’d get $300 out of that pension money but it doesn’t look like it. I’ll be lucky of I get just $20 this week. Anne needs her ID to take the money out of the bank and she’s doing that this week. So it’s not like we can get it right away. So she has to get new ID since that fellow went and robbed her a couple of months back and her ID was in the stolen purse. Anyway I had a better go at doing baseball and that was nice I got a $35 credit card and in some ways I’d prefer doing baseball as I was getting a bit creative and ended up with over $220 before we switched to CBF. But at least I had $95 worth of credit cards and that will help. Even my bank report improved a couple of hundred bucks. Despite the fact today wasn’t as good as I had wanted it to be, I still did fairly well. After all is said and done, I’m a happy man. I’m hoping I could get $40 bucks tomorrow but I’ll be happy with whatever I get, I could get the $300 in the weekend. In, which case I’m going to get that external hard drive and a back up utility program. If all goes well maybe Saturday
