I moved this over from One Dawn morning because the formatting had changed on me somehow, Because of my vision it’s easier to open up another document from a clean document elsewhere. I had 8 months worth of diaries on my last document.
Anne could be coming hone from the bank right now. The bank could turn her away because she doesn’t have the photo in her photo ID and I think this is what’s going to happen this afternoon. If we get the money then I’ll call JT and take the night off. If we have to wait to get the official driver’s license in the mail that could take next week and I’ll go into work tonight. If Anne does have success at the bank today then I’m off work. If not then I’m going into work. If successful then I’ll be enjoying a night of hockey and wrestling. If not then an evening of work.
This week is lodge week and even though I’d like to go, if I can’t get a ride to Fort Edmonton Park then I’ll book myself in for the emergent meeting June 21st Next week is my 3rd Yag laser treatment attempt the week after that is the emergent meeting. If I went to the lodge this week that would mean a night off at least once a week and I can’t justify t. Speaking about the yag laser my Doctor is saying that the machine is calibrated and working properly. He said that the last time I went in and still he couldn’t do anything. He’s just trying to avoid me trying to have an operation where the specialist has to go in by hand. It’s a risky operation.
Anne came in and the bank played the bad guy saying they need that photo ID. The steps she took Saturday to get the ID are just only (?) being handled today and her ID won’t go out until tomorrow’s mail. So the mail the way it is and all, she won’t get her ID until at least Monday or Tuesday of next week. We’re not hurting at all as she gets her cheaque Thursday morning and I get mine Thursday night. Also, it works out better this way because I get anything over $150 on my next cheaque plus the $300, so I’ll have about $525 including Anne’s Fs reward points.
I’d rather have over $500 next week then $300 this week. This way I can go get my Ram and that Xp computer recovered. The only problem is I’ve got all this data on this system. I’ll need to somehow back this up on an external drive and then move it all over to the Xp. Drive. I’ll have to switch OS’s as well. So I think when I go down and call JT at 4:55pn. I’ll go into Fs and ask if I can move W/98 files into an Xp system without compromising the W/98 files. I’ve got a 180Gb drive in the Xp machine. Too bad it’s a slow pig. I’ll need the Ram to make the recovery process faster and this is one of the things that I’ll be asking the tech at Fs. They’ll be using a USB shuttle cable to recover files from my Xo to their Xp. Then they’ll reset to factory default and then export my files over back onto my machine. Ram on Xp shouldn’t be a factor.
I’m just wondering if they can still transfer my data without my Xp recovery disk. The other thing is why not just use Norton Ghost? Because they’ll first have to recover the desktop and I don’t think they can do that without my Xp recovery disk. They might be able to shuttle whole directories over from one Xp to another Xp.
Anyway I got up around 5:30 this morning and did the cbi thing and went back to bed. As usual I had trouble sleeping, what with it being so hot out there. About 11am I had a heat stroke and Anne out the AC on. Within minutes I felt a lot better. So, supper’s coming on soon and at about 4:45pm I’m calling JT to say I won’t be in tonight but I will tomorrow and this week for another 31.5 hours
