Ok here we go..

what with the busy day we had yesterday and after my great hamburger and fries Anne and I had a couple of hours of sleep. After the news at midnight I went into bed and with my Neal Asher book “Gridlinked.” The one currently displayed in my left sidebar. I still need the reading glasses until my vision clears up completely but I put the book down at page 20 and waited for Anne listening to Coast on Mind Control and the reptilians. I believe people display “reptilian behavior” just ask the husband of any woman going through mood swings taking hormone pills. That’s more like Jekle and Hyde then reptilian but I think amounts to the same thing. It’s not her fault either don’t blame her. I shut the radio off at 2:30am or so and passed out. I woke up again around 6 am to do the cbi thing and passed out after that and woke up at various times to use the bathroom but other then that I woke up at 11am laid in bed for 15 min or so and got up to have my morning coffee. Anne got her things together to go to the bank and to make an appointment.

Also yesterday I began the first rewrite of F and well into the first scene. It goes slow but steady.

This afternoon I’m out of here at 4pm for my 5pm shift. I’m not expecting Anne to get her funds until tomorrow. In which case, I’ll go in and pick up the 3 books from Audrey’s. I’m still looking to order that coffee table book for research for IBA, my next novel. I’m planning a Space opera trilogy after that calling it “The Craft.” I know I said I’d never write a trilogy but I began to realize that trilogies are ok if you buy them as a complete set. As for a longer series, buy the first 3-4 in that series and start from there. One thing I won’t write is historical fiction. I’m well rooted in fantasy what with playing all that D&D in the late 70’s & 80’s plus my extensive brush with the SCA. I’m not an expert in medieval studies or anything but I know enough to get around. Is there a fantasy novel to write in my future? Maybe a novella or two as I have a few ideas kicking around.

Speaking about reading Gridlinked, it felt good reading again. My goal is to read from a book an hour every day right after the news. I figure if I can read 20 pages/night and more on the weekends I can read a book the size of Gridlinked in about half a month. I think Asher said Gridlinked is around 144k the book itself is around 423-pages. I like his writing. He has a wonderful command of language, kind of reminds me of Terry Goodkind.  I’m not about into book reviews or anything like that. Once I finish the book around the end of this month, I’ll make a small comment about it. The next in the series is “Brass Man.” That’s probably going to be next, not “Spin.” Spin will be after BM.

This afternoon will be my first night into work since my Yag. I’m going to bring my reading glasses into work just in case but I have a feeling I won’t be, needing them. It’s going to be nice looking down the end of the block to 50th street to be able to see the buses coming up the approach. It was nice to see the apartment block under construction in the field across from Clairview station West. The construction site since they broke the ground and began erecting the building was nothing but an orange wood blob for me. I couldn’t even see the workers roaming around. I’ll take my camera into work and I’ll try and post a pic tonight when I come back of the site.

That’s all for now.
