Happy Canada Day!

Happy Canada Day! It’s our 140th anniversary as a nation. I’ll live I’m sure to see our 150th Canada Day but I doubt our 200th.

Anyway, I had a nice afternoon. I worked on 4 scenes for F and began an after the first rewrite timeline. I’m currently up to scene 45 on the rewrite and scene 39 of the timeline. I hope to resume and complete the timeline after brunch today. Then I can continue work on the remainder of the F rewrite. I hope I can finish the middle of the first rewrite by the end of this weekend.

the NHL free agency frenzy starts today. So far I haven’t seen any news of deals being made in the Oiler camp or anywhere else on the NHL map. Of course it’s too early to tell right now.

We went to bed last night listening to a bit of Coast. Arts guest was author Tom Carey a UFO investigator journalist talking about the Roswell incident. Of course he has a recent book out on the subject as well and I have my own theory on UFO’s. This month being the 60th anniversary of the Roswell incident and in a surprising turn of events has unveiled a twist. As the original story goes, the key witness to the crash site Mr. “Mac” Brazel working as a foreman on the Foster ranch some 70 miles North of Roswell (Carona) came across some material. Brazel said it was tin foil and sticks and rubber and some tape. On Friday July 4thth RAAF base just outside of Roswell and on that Monday afternoon Marcel and Brazel went to the bush to try and re-assemble the material but they couldn’t do it. Marcel said, “Weather device” probably for Brazel’s benefit. Marcel took the debris back to the air base that Monday afternoon. (There are other accounts of this story.) The following Tuesday the RAAF issued a press release talking about rumors of a flying disk that became a reality. Later that day July 8th the Roswell daily record ran with the original story by the RAAF. Then the same day the Air Force did an about face withdrawing the UFO story claiming it was a weather balloon. Then the story was forgotten for about 30 years until 1978 when Ufologist Stanton Friedman (Crash at Carona) interviewed ret. Major Jessie Marcel whom claimed the Air force had covered up the Roswell story. The UFO community of course dismissed the Air Force story as being a cover up, depending on which one of 6 versions of the Roswell incident you believe. The big recent news is that public relations officer Lieutenant Walter Haut from the 509th along with his son wife and daughter they stashed the material under a bush and forgot about it. Over the weekend Brazel heard reports of “flying disks” and wondered if this is what he picked up. A few days later Brazel told a Sheriff Wilcox what he had found and Wilcox called Major Jessie Marcel of the 509 who originally released the UFO press release story (acting on orders from Col. William Blanchard) of the flying disk apparently has had a sealed signed affidavit in his own hand writing not to be opened until the time of his death. He died last Thursday in Roswell at the age of 83. The contents of that affricative have now been made public. In the affricative Haut talks about a high level meeting with Air force officers, Blanchard, Ramsey and others, passing unknown material around a table at the meeting presumably from the Foster ranch. None of these officers could identify the material being passed around according to Haut. Haut also claims to have seen two alien bodies as well at an air force hanger. Yet in all the years since then until his death Haut dismisses seeing a craft or bodies or material and downplayed the whole incident.

This raises questions (at least in my mind) about when the affidavit was written and notarized? Was it about during the time of an alleged high-level meeting of Air Force personnel or two years before he died? Something else that raises my Spider senses, Haut also founded a UFO museum and also and has close ties with the UFO community in Roswell. Even the UFO community is divided over the Roswell incident. Timelines change, people involved and other ingredients have blurred the whole incident over the years since 1947. The truth is hard to find. I’m going mainly by this report. Is this a hoax to sell someone’s book? Jessie Marcel jr. has a book out called “The Roswell legacy”. He has a vested interest in this incident as well. So my Spider senses tell me something is fishy here. Yet Haut could have released this info some years ago. In Defense of Haut I really want to believe his story but something tells me something is fishy here.

That's all for now.
