well, it’s going to be a hot one-today +27 now and +30 when I go into work. On my way in, I’m going to dash into Audrey’s and ask them to put that book I want on hold. I need it for research material for my next novel “Into the Blue Abyss.” I think the price tag read $31 bucks or something. Also, I want to special order a book by Robert Bruce Baird. The guy who always likes to argue with me at AGF message board on Freemasonry every time I comment on “secret societies.” Actually he’s generous and a pretty decent fellow. The topic of secret societies is an ongoing theme I frequently use in my science fiction writing. Mostly though I want to reserve that book to pick up tomorrow. Audrey’s had 2 copies displayed right as you come down the stairs.
Also, I’ll pick up my cheaque today and maybe Rob will have the bank report posted. Good stuff. Hopefully we’ll do Winnipeg today. We usually book off at 8:30pm often paid until 9pm. Thats the only reason why I like calling into Winnipeg.
Hehe, I have to chuckle over this one. Most likely by now you’ve heard about this. Al Gore’s son was pulled over for speeding on a California highway yesterday. They found him in possession of pot. I hope his Son was using a hybrid vehicle when he was speeding.
Yesterday afternoon on our way into work I left Anne at Bay Station and at Carona I went upstairs to Audrey’s books. Downstairs to the science fiction/ fantasy section. Immediately I saw a book I want to use for research for my next novel. They had 2 copies left. Like I said, I’m going to go in and reserve my copy for tomorrow and order that Robert Bruce Baird book. The first thing I wanted to do was to pick up Whitley Strieber’s “The Grays.” They had 6copies there. I scrolled down the “S’s’’ and to my delight there was Charles Stross’s “Glasshouse” in paperback. I scooped up that and went upstairs to the till. I also signed up for Audrey’s book club. I thought it was something like $20 but the girl at the till said only $5. Sure why not. Happy with that I went off into work and into the office. We did ASB Winnipeg and I had a slow tart with the taps. I changed my tactics around a bit and I started getting them. I ended up with $255. On a TD run. We got out at 8:30pm and I met Anne on the train at Churchill calling me from her cell phone on my car. I mentioned how happy I am that the research book for my next novel came in and she got her feathers ruffled a bit over that one. I think she’s more or less ok with it now. We got in shortly after 9pm.
I worked on my writing answering some email and did that until supper. We watched the news and she did her thing and I began working on a word count for the rough draft of F. I did the beginning part and now I’m about to do the middle. This isn’t the rewrite. It’s a separate thing after the rewrite just to get an idea how many extra words I put in.
