we missed that first bus and had to wait in that +32* heat. But a bus came by right away. We had a nice trip into work even though it was really hot out there. I figured I go to the end of the line Health Sciences Center and then back again. I got in the office about 4:45pm. I had a great start to the shift ending up with $255 by break. Anne called saying how one of 2 options could play out. 1.) First if she got out early she could come to meet me at work pick up the check and cash it at 2.) She could meet me at Central and I hand the cheaque while the train stops and I hand it to her still in the train on my way home. So I ended up doing really well, pulling in $430 and a $30 credit card as well. Anne called me about 8:30pm and I met her just out side our office using my running shoe to keep the door open. I went back up stirs to continue the shift and JT let us out
about 8:50pm. I headed over to Carona and found J, the East Indian fellow waiting for the train and Anne came down to see me there and all three of us got on together. Anne gave me my $60 bucks. I’m going to use it for the book but I’m going to reserve the book for next week. The deal is one book/week.
Also, at work I worked on my scene-by-scene new word count. So far I’ve added 5,130 words to the story. I’ve got another 8,000 words to work with. I had to add everything by hand in between calls. Chances are I might have made a mistake. After lunch, I’ll check it over again.
my wife made me a nice lunch and we watched the news. I found more fallout from the Michael Nylander story. Lowe tried to sign him and was waiting for the fax to come in Friday last morning but he had already signed with Washington Capitals. Nylander said his wife freaked out when she heard Edmonton as if they were going to some winter gulag in Siberia. The Oiler offer was even for 2.5 million more then what the Capitals signed him for. Mainly the moral of the story is his wife got in the way. So the Oilers are looking at signing some restricted free agents at a penalty for dome draft picks. Lowe has some names in mind. The Oilers are in a great position because they have salary cap room other teams don’t have.
From what I’ve been hearing the Iphone won’t be available in Canada until about the spring if that. The other thing about Iphone is it’s available for PC users. But I plan on getting a Mac mini anyway as a Christmas present for myself. Anne is encouraging me to save up for the Iphone. She likes that touch screen. So do I.
I rewrote 3 scenes so far today and I hope after a good nights sleep I can get a few more done. Odds are extremely high I’ll have the first rewrite of F done by the end of the month. But I have $100 to work with and I think I’d like to get some toner for my HP L5 printer.
That’s all for now.
