A bit nicer out there today |
|
Anne got her pay cheaque in. A little better temperature wise this afternoon sitting at +22* as I’m enjoying my first coffee for the day. Last night after work Anne got me a large jar of the instant coffee, I thought she’d freak out over. She picked it up for me anyway.
Last night JT was mentioning that the medical plan is 6 months of intensive 31.5 hours work not 3 as I thought it would be. Sure I have Alberta health care but they don’t cover dental work. I’ll be putting in the 31.5 hours in as of August so by the end of January 2008, I’ll be ready to do have my teeth out and dentures installed.
We’re supposed to get a Shaw cable service call this afternoon. If Anne’s still out when the tech guy comes around I’m going to ask if we can get a non HDTV PVR and how much a month will they cost? I think we still have to get them through third party, I don’t know yet.
I got up at 6am this morning to do the cbi thing but had a need to work on a rewrite scene. Scene 63, which is the third crisis point in the story
I have more information on this Lieutenant Walter Haut fellow. You may recall me talking about this a while back. The affidavit was dated 2002. I can’t recall the whole body of the text but apparently it had to do with something about 2 crash sites. The affidavit would have been made more credible if it was dated earlier near the time of the so-called high-level meeting. Personally I don’t think Roswell was a captured flying disk at all but just what the report said it was, a weather balloon (from operation Mogul maybe?). How do I account or the description of the craft Haut saw? I think he was taking liberties, maybe exagerating somewhat. Of course, Hoagland, George Noory and anybody flogging a Roswell book will tell other wise. The only really credible UFO story is Phoenix Lights because of the many eyewitness accounts all seeing the same thing. Sorry Roswell but that gets a bonk not a bing.
the Shaw service guy came out right away. He said it’s the TV and not the set box. To demonstrate he unhooked the set box so all we’re getting is strait cable and we still got the lines dropping down. Also he took a look at my computer resolution. This is a product of the old style monitors. I need a new monitor and that will correct my screen resolution. So that’s the next thing I’m going to get after the printer toner is a new monitor. The monitors are not that expensive either.
The other thing about the medical plan, I’m thinking about putting in just the 2 afternoons/week and work the full year like that. This will get me on the medical plan at +24 hour’s week for a full year. That means by this time next August I’ll be on the medical plan. It also means that I can work the full week and take the odd day off as well and still have at least +24 hour/week in. By putting the 2 afternoons/week in will give me 29.5 hours/week. That will give me $295/week and after taxes at least $250/week. Anne gets her $150 and I get my $100.
That’s all for now.
