I got out of here and caught the bus at about 11:30am and to the LRT. I bought a diet Coke at the store and boarded the train. A brief wait and I read Spin and Twenty minutes later I was at Carona station. I took the stairs up to the street level. No bus in sight. Lets check Money Mart about the prepaid card. I can get them in $10 $20 $30 denominations but they want a 1 time activation fee of $21. That means a $10 prepaid card will cost me $31. But that’s not each time. At least that’s good to know. So after a bit of a wait the bus came and I had over an hour until my next appointment. I got off at Shoppers Drug Mart on my way and they didn’t have any 6 gauge needles. So I ordered 2 boxes of test strips. If I were to buy them out of pocket that would be $200 each way. Plus $9 for the lancets. The pharmacist said the I’d have a half hour wait. A bit pushing it. He said I could pick them up after my appointment.

anyway after that I had a brief wait for the bus right outside Shoppers. There’s about 3-4 construction cranes in the area building away. I got to my destination just about 12:30pm. I decided to sit outside and read for a bit. The hotdog stand was making me hungry and I had no cash on me of significance enough to buy one. Just a couple of bucks in change. I found Dr. M’s office. He’s sharing it with about 3 other Doctors. So, I had a bit of an eye test and then a wait. 1:06pm my cell phone read. Finally Dr. M arrived and he went through the eye chart with me. A bit more elaborate then the first one. Everything’s all fine. I mentioned how it’s kind of tough to read newsprint and if he could make a prescription of some kind for me. He tested me again with more visual aids and wrote me up a chart for the receptionist and suggested I come back for an annual visit. I said my farewell’s and thank you’s for treating me and got the chart, out the building into the beautiful afternoon. A bit of a wait for my bus to Shoppers. I picked up my supplies and out by the entrance at the set of lights cross walk (I missed the light change.) I could see a bus down the next set of lights a block away. It was waiting to change as well. I timed it just right and got to the bus stop just in time to meet the connection. The bus let me off at Telus plaza and the Telus mobility store wasn’t a store at all but a small Kiosk. The store, last time Anne and I were there in April was downstairs. This just had a display and a clerk. I asked what phone I’d need to access the Internet. She said the Blackberry. It’s $365 and $65/month. Yikes, to rich for my blood.

So, underground under the street and to Central station and the train and I was on my way home. Clairview station at 2:15pm. A bus was waiting and I got in about 2:30pm. Anne had left to go out and about to do her thing. I tried having a bit of a nap but couldn’t. So I got up to get some more info on how that SMS limioi.com service works. It’s not in Canada. I checked out the Itunes and they have a lot of Buzzcocks stuff but not the 3 Cd set I want called Product.

Anne came in about 4pm and made us a soup and sandwich. I watched the news and after that had a bit of a nap. I think I got an hour power snooze. About 9pm Anne and I are going to Capital eX. It’s $10 bucks to get inside and that’s not bad. Most of the food items are $3-5 each but Anne wants to go. we’ll look around, spend an hour outside and go into the Agracom and I’ll drop some coins into the slot machines (I’ve never played the slots before so this will be a firs time for me. I’m not a gambling kind of person. I barely play the lottery.) have some fun and maybe buy a beer while Anne’s out and about looking around. We’re going to bring our cell phones incase we get separated. Website is down so, I’ll try and post some pictures for later.

    That’s all for now.
