Yesteray at the Midway,

last night about 8:30pm we headed out to Capital eX. Otherwise known as-the fare/fair?. Or Midway. I had a good time up until after Anne want to see the fireworks. They were good too. I tried taking pictures but I forgot to reset the camera out of B/W mode and there were lots of people around. With n wrist strap I was worried about being nudged and the camera dislodging out of my hands and onto the pavement. W played some games I won Anne a stuffed animal “Chilly Willie.“ playing some ball toss game. Most of these games were about $2/3 3ach. Most of these stuffed animals are made in China. We walked around the various booths, the corndogs the foot long hot dogs, Elephant ears, The Gold Brick, The Ferris wheel the mini rollercoaster. Even Ed Fest. I couldn’t tell who was playing.

I really enjoyed the Agracom. I wanted to play some slots but I didn’t know ho and the staff were AWOL to help us. That’s ok, there were hundreds of machines and all a bit over whelming. The Agracom consisted mostly of demonstrations. Little more then paid programming but in this case Live. The first thing we saw that I liked was that vibration waist weight loss belt. I tried that and wow just a few minutes of that and it was too much. I think they want $200 for it. If I had the money. I for got to ask what the brand name was and if there’s a place to buy here in the City. There mist have been about 200 little sections, cowboy hats jewelry, candles, the high tech towel guy, the Ntendo car (cute) we did play one slot for a chance to win something on a nearby table. There was a booth of WWE t shirts but they didn’t have Dx. Lots of John Cena shirts but the guy there said those are at their West Edmonton mall store. Anne wanted to buy one for me. I was looking for a sketch artist guy but there wasn’t one around I had a crappy little cheese burger for $4. Unbelievably overpriced. These “cheese burgers” are no different then what you’d find at a 7-11. It was the 2nd half of our little outing that Anne wanted to see the 11:30 fireworks. I enjoyed that but then she wanted to see more of the midway at night. By this time I had enough. I was carrying Chilly Willie around all night and my feet were soar and so was my back and legs. Anne was walking around in a daze wanting to buy everything she could Pizza hot dogs candy apples. I know that’s what the fare is all about and all but I felt I was just along for the ride. By this time I wasn’t enjoying myself at all. I felt totally relieved when we got to the train and it carried us home.

We met the caretaker as well and there were no buses there to take us away do, more walking. But Anne befriended the caretaker as they talked girl talk amongst themselves, I inserted the odd thing to say but all I just wanted to do was to get home.

All in all I had a nice day yesterday and there wee a few rough spots at the fare but I enjoyed myself. I was surprised how my tolerance for large crowds had improved. Also the weather cooperated as well. It was +22 something, not hot out there at all. All in all yesterday was very nice. I even have $17 left and I’m thinking about going to Coles/Audrey’s right after 3pm and pick up a book. I might just go to Audrey’s and pick something up just in case anyway.

Last night I began to tinker around with my camera and I reset the photo size resolution to something a bit smaller then the 1;10Mb that Gl wouldn’t take but the image is a bit blurred. It still wouldn’t take that image and even though they provided me with error messages it would accept the image. I get silly stuff like the photo must be part of the intro and or in the text body. Well, it was and I still get these dumb error messages. I don’t know, is it Geek Log, or my camera settings or something I’m not doing or all three? Blogger’s imaging interface is so much better and easier to use. Until I get this GL image thing sorted out, I’m going to use Blogger to display photos.

This is a photo of me that my wife took about 1am this morning. It’s the camera settings and I need to have this fixed up.

That’s all for now.

e. Jim
