Anne made me a really nice BBQ beef on a bun and Mexi fries. I watched the news about the Penner deal. The Ducks GM wasn’t turned off by the offer sheet he was just pissed off with the amount of money Lowe figured Penner was worth. I mean here is a player only getting about half a mill and his boss is saying he’s not worth more then that. Excuse me? That’s like another call center offering me $15 hour and Rob saying I’m only worth $10. Yeah thanks for the vote of confidence. So Anne’s watching her South park and I’m winding the day down.

Some other somewhat “disturbing news” is that Green peace has opened up an office here in Alberta in hopes of putting some pressure on our Tar sands oil industry. Are these people brain dead? Their goal is to basically disrupt Alberta’s oil industry to the point where the oil industry is ready to collapse. They don’t care that it will send thousands of people out of work. Now I don’t have a problem with Kyoto as long as the cost 1% of Canada’s GDP is covered at the Federal level and they pay for it. Fortunately the Green peace office here has only 2 people. The other thing is how active will Greenpeace be when it’s like -25C weather out there? I’d like to see them climb several hundred feet up a tower to put up banner when it’s like -25C. LoL!

I’m still a little put off by JT earlier having no desire to call my total and getting pissed off at me because I was interrupting his personal call over business. It’s times like these I’m getting out of Xl. That Security guard job is looking better and better all the time. If I get a hard time over something like this this afternoon, then I’m putting my application in and accepting that Security guard job. Don’t get me wrong, I like JT and we’re friends but even lovers get into fights now and then. Anne is my wife and we’re always getting into fights. If JT can’t see that and carries a grudge then, it will be a matter of time before I’m out of there at Xl.

I brought $25 with the intention of getting that Gardner Dozois anthology at Audrey’s and I even got to the front of the train and I began to realize, I can get it on Saturday. Also, I’ve been there too many times recently buying books. I should give it a break. Shop at Coles or Chapter’s and they’ve got a similar or not better selection. So, I’ll do my shopping at Coles Saturday. Seeing as how Anne is at work and I’m off Saturday. I’ll give Audrey’s a break for about 6 months. But there’s not enough new books around to get a book a week and special order works good for Audrey’s. I’ll still special order from them.

We got the new 2008 Ikea catalogue. I always like leafing through their new selection of home furnishings. I recall in the early 1990’s they had their store/warehouse over there at West Edmonton Mall. Their other store on the south side is huge.

Still hard at work formatting F. I’m at scene #10 about half way through the middle of the beginning. It’s a long drawn out process but I hope to be finished with the formatting and the first rewrite by the end of August. In between all that, I hope to still be working on GA as I want to have the rough draft hopefully finished around by the end of August as well.
