Saturday once again. |

I went into work yesterday afternoon with a bit of trepidation. Just before the shift I caught up with JT and we hashed everything out. We’re all right. That’s what I like about where I work, ”What’s done yesterday stays with yesterday. Today’s a new day.” I ended up with a not to shabby total $188. I got a couple of credit cards and that’s $2 for each credit card (only if your at line hour) Rob always has to toss that caveat in there to protect his bottom line. I got a few calls from Anne. I’m off for 3 days. Beautiful. When I left the building it was dark stormy overcast and the wind had picked up. I was just in a t shirt and decided against going over to Chapters. I could have went over to Coles however, I decided to go over to Audrey’s and shop there. Their SF selection is dwindling. I have everything that isn’t a series but there are a few more books I could pick up there yet.
I decided on Paul McCauley’s “Whole Wide World” and Larry Niven and Brenda Cooper, “Building Harlequin’s Moon.” I was talking to some of the staff there at Audrey’s and customers at the counter and they suggested Wee Book Inn as a great place for Fiction. I remember back in 1984 when I was chasing after Chrissie when she worked at the WBI in the West End that they had a generous SF selection. I haven’t been in a WBI in years so I forget how much their used books are. I imagine around $5 paperback. But it’s worth going to and check it out. Their downtown location is a few doors down from Anne’s job.
For today‘s agenda, of course is the cbi thing. Then I hope to get up around noon have my first coffee and do more formatting on F. I’m about half way through the formatting or I should say reformatting, then I can continue the first rewrite of F where I left off before my W98 crashed. I’m hoping I can finish the formatting over the next day or two. If all goes well, I can continue the first rewrite Sunday evening.
I went and made some changes on my website. I added a link to my about me page where there in you can get a link to some of my fiction. I also made bold the font for the excerpt “About me” in the sidebar. I also separated my Top Ten into their own pages but so far Markus has yet to get to them and hasn’t replied to my email. Another thing I want to do for this website is get a better theme. On the Geeklog main page they have a theme tester. It’s a drop down menu that lets you see a sample of the many GL themes. I like the Xp one but Markus doesn’t know where that is, it seems. The Top Ten I hope will go into the Science Fiction menu. I think though I’m using my W98 computer for my website stuff as I’m keeping that at the 1040 screen resolution.
Anyway that’s all for now..
