Another post for Monday |
|
Anne made me some ravioli type pasta for lunch and she left feeling better then she did. Of course going from hot temperatures to moderate temperatures has that affect and the overnights have been around +10 here lately.
The other thing I wanted to mention from earlier is the housing crunch here in Edmonton. All over the Province. But here in the City, developers are buying up apartments and converting them into condo’s. The reason for this is so they can sell them at $250K to start. Under the Province’s recent Bill C34 on housing, would be condo developers can not evict somebody out of their apartment for one full year. So in other words if our apartment complex (Lord forbid) should decide to turn these units into condo’s, the developer has to give us a years notice. This gives the renter time to find another apartment. This is really a dangerous trend and if it keeps going this way there won’t be any apartments anymore. The provincial Government won’t introduce rent controls unlike BC and Ontario. But condo development isn’t rent control. It’s squeezing out the little guy. Out of all the vacancies other then stand alone houses, 90% of all housing is condo’s in the City. Just this year to date alone there have been about 80 rezoning applications (most likely apartment conversions) submitted to City Hall. I don’t think we have to be worried here because we have suites that are Edmonton Housing (EH) ready. The thing is we have to be on a waiting list to be accepted for EH and they have too many rules and regulations. Our income has to be under $2000/month to qualify and only one pet per unit. I don’t like the idea of giving up our pets just to reduce our rent. We’ve had Pledges and Silky here for 7 years and Sparky and Sporty for at least 3. We might have to give up my wife’s Hamsters under such a scenario. I think the only thing saving this complex from being converted to a condo development is it’s age and the fact that we have EH units here but I could be wrong. People don’t need medical attention all the time, people don’t need education all the time, but housing is critical. People need roofs over their heads all the time. The thing is if our complex decides to turn these units into condos and we have a year to work with, (my wife talked about this many times) she would solicit her sister for help to see if she would help us get a condo on a 25 year mortgage, where her sister becomes the Landlord and we just pay her rent. That’s a chip my wife said her sister is aware of and maybe we could cash in. only if we become desperate.
I’ve been in contact with the Adsense forum and so far I Haven’t been able to get anything going on Adsense. I know it doesn’t pay very well but it’s better then nothing. Apparently the reason why Adsense hasn’t accepted me is because my declaration of this site is still a work I n progress. According to the answers I got back from my newbie question. I replied back to theme earlier this afternoon. I removed this from my websites Homepage cover letter. So, the website is complete. No more work in progress.
Also, I even did a bit of work on F today. I “completed” scene 78/80. I have 2 more scenes to go and I will complete these by the end of this week. Then it’s to find the cause and effect of every line of the story. Making sure everything reads well and isn’t out of order before I go in and fix some of the broken elements of the story.
In a bit I’m out of here at 4pm for work. Another 4 hour shift. Then home by 9:30pm so I can watch my wrestling by 10pm.
Anyway that’s all for now
