Anne called me from the bank about half an hour ago I called her just now she said she’s at the front door to buzz her up. In other words she’s out there somewhere. Ok now she’s back.

I had a pretty good shift last night on the job. We did HOR and then semies for CBF treating them as taps. Something new wee trying. I ended up with 4 $100 sales and loads of $50’s. The idea was to stop us from that old tap habit of reloading. I had to fight to get my pay cheaque, which shows a lack of respect for me. By 8:30pm I was well on my way to $900. Dawn calls the totals and I don’t get a great job or something like that. The big “taps” ended and I got $970 as total for the night, which in my opinion ia an exceptional total but Will shut our dialers down 10 minutes before 9pm. I missed out the break G note by 10 minutes. A couple of things that didn’t sit well with me. First of all Rob didn’t post the bank report. Second people that have just been with the company and have moved to Taps are getting what took me 7 years to get they get it within a few months to $10. Third, I had to ask Will several times for my pay cheaque until it was an “oh right“ Then Dawn Phun who calls totals. She whispered in a real low voice my name and then shouted a bit louder. So I take all those things together and I ask myself why do I knock myself out there? I think $14/hr is not unreasonable but I’ll settle for $12. Beginning next week I’m going to put my 3 afternoons in for 32.5 hours in a week. I’m going to do that consistently until the end of the year. I’m going to see if I can get sc. If I can and I can get the ideal security guard job with the guard company but not before I give rob the ultimatum. “Rob: My wife and I have talked about this. I’ve been working 32.5 hours over the last 4 months, there are people here that have been with us a few months doing taps and they are making what it took me 7 years to get. Now, I’ve been offered a security guard job. I work x4 8 hour shifts on and I get 3 days off. It’s steady work on an lrt line unsupervised graveyard shifts and they are willing to pay me $12/hour. I can bring my little lap top work on my writing and do my hourly patrols and the rest of the time is mine. Long story short I don’t want to burn my bridges here. I like working here but you have 2 weeks to get my hourly rate to $12/hour and match them or I’m forced to work elsewhere. I’ll be reminding you as well, a couple of times/week. But if on January 4tht that first Thursday of that week if I don’t see $12 on my pay cheaque, I’m gone.” Something to that effect.

Anyway I waited until about 9:15 reading in the office and left the building. We had a mix of rain ad hail all night. Very unstable weather. I like this kind of weather. Reminds me of June like weather. I went to the train had a nice wait and got a seat to myself and caught the latter train home.

My wife got me a $20 so I can go book shopping tomorrow night at Chapters. I’m looking to buy a couple of fantasy Anthology’s and they have a nice assortment since I was last time I was there.

Also, Markus implemented the Feedburner code for me but it’s still a broken link. The thing is my server is down and I can’t get to my site. Good thing I registered with Bloglines. I won’t need to miss my favorite blogs. Also Markus and I are talking about the menus and I hope he can get them fixed up for me. He’s probably unaware I’m not connected to the server.

I noticed this on Holy Lislie’s Pocket full of words site that she’s got this Mr. Linky “Friday snippets.” Now what Fsn is if I read this correctly it’s a place where I can post snippets of my writing and where others can link to snippets of their writing and so forth. This is a neat idea and I’m going to have this on my front page as a block in one of my sidebars. This will be new content. It will be snippets of what I’m writing and what your writing and exposes others to your writing and my writing. If I understand the term properly. When I’m back online again.
