A great Saturday.

I got up about 5:45am Saturday morning to do some blogging and get some things off my chest. Anne bought me some frozen toaster waffles and I had them while doing the cbi thing. Of course gathering everything up and having the shower that sort of thing, getting hot water for coffee etc. I had a brief wait at the bus stop outside here and I headed to Clairview station and the train came in and away I was.

It was beautiful going into work this morning. The fall colors were awesome. I brought my lunch, pop, reward points and some cash with me into work listening to Clash tunes on my way in. What could be better. My serenity was interrupted when Wayne boarded at Stadium to sit with me. I was pissed off. Not at him but the fact I just wanted to be alone. I feel like taking the bus in on Saturdays half the time. But that seldom happens that him and I meet on a Saturday morning. Nothing against Wayne of course.

So JT brought donuts in and I got a chocolate/banana cream kind of a thing. CPA again. For awhile I had Lev sitting with me but he was moved away by a late comer. Tasa or something like that. A black fellow. Nice enough guy. Only 4 of us did the big CPA taps. I ended up top total by break and 2 credit cards for a combined $10 bonus. Tasa got top total but I was right behind him. I ended up with $1,060 and x2 $50 credit cards for the draw. I didn’t get anything though. Kind of burns me off because I got so far this last week, well over $1000 in credit cards. Unheard of. For that I got $65 bucks in bonuses this week. If I get them. I’d be surprised if I get them all. I was glad to get out of there and into the warm September afternoon Sun. The weather was gorgeous. And there was that #1 bus I wanted to catch. Just as well. I enjoyed a nice walk up to City Center mall, stopping here and there along the way to sit down. I got inside the mall and began shopping for books. They have 3 of the oversized “Best of anthologies,” but I needed more bang for my buck then anthologies.

So after browsing through an overabundance of fantasy and SF that doesn’t appeal to me, I found a few Gems. I picked up Ken Macleod’s “Learning the world.” and Mike Resnick’s Santiago. Only Macleod’s book was stand alone. Santiago is part of his Far future history series and is an old book dating back to 1980. I also want to get Resnick’s Starship series. I might special order it. Probably a reprint but I haven’t read any of Resnick’s at all. He’s got a few anthologies out. Anne had called but I lost the call for some reason. I went to pay for the books and I got my change back and dialed Anne again before paying a visit to the food court. She said she was already in the food court. Hehe. I got on the down escalator to the lower level. Where are you?” By the stairs. She waved at me and I went to sit by her as she was just coming off her break. That worked out real good. So I gave her a kiss off to work and I went to Taco Bell for a combo something and really enjoyed that. Very nice. Then I went over to the Source and looked around I saw first hand the Yamaha keyboard I want to eventually buy. $199. Good price. Then I went to Grand and Tow looking for a ledger/calendar solution I can use for marking my totals at work and so I can enter the books I buy so I don’t duplicate anything but they didn’t have any available. I should try Staples.

After that I had a nice walk down Rice Howard Way and paused to sit down and enjoy the warm weather. Very nice. I got to Central LRT and waited for my train. After about 19 minutes it came by and took me out to Clairview. The sign there said +25C. Wow. That’s probably going to be about it until April 2008. There was a bus heading out. I flagged it down and was home in less then ten minutes at just about 4:15pm or so. I needed to check my books (as tired as I was) at Fantastic Fiction. Ok, I’m relatively happy with what I got. I shut the computer down and taking off my cloths, I went to bed. I past out and woke up around 6:30pm.

Anne made me a little has brown thing and cheese just for my insulin. And I went right to work on F as she went to exchange my gene jacket for a larger size and too use some coupons for burritos at the Taco Bell over there by Colisium/Rexal station. Well in that area. She went to get that for us to heat up for later. I completed 6 scenes of F this evening and really accomplished a lot and tightened up the story more then what it had been making it a lot stronger. Thus far. After a good 8-10 hours sleep and a nice breakfast I’ll be back at it for the rest of the night hopefully I’ll be able to do another 5 scenes. If I can do 15-20 scenes/week and in a meaningful way I should have the 2nd rewrite completed 6-8 weeks from now. By the middle of October at the earliest. Mid November at the latest. The whole finished product should be ready to ship by February ‘08. I hope. It’s been a busy but a productive day. I got my sleeping pill and its having its affect.

Anyway that’s all for now
