A busy afternoon/evening

just as I was about ready to leave out of here I get a call from my wife saying that she lost her purse could I check at the Dollarama across the street because she went there before work. I had to do an improper computer shutdown as risky as that was I brought my things with me and my jacket and into the Dollarama just as she was on the phone talking to the manager. They didn’t have it but would certainly let us know if they stumble upon it in the store. So, then Anne asks me to go back to the apartment to check and see if she dropped her purse anywhere in the apartment. Back to the apartment again. I was getting a bit po’d what with her and her missing cat food from earlier. I looked around walking her through my travels with my phone. Ok it’s not there. I walked from our place through the shopping center area looking under the shadows of parked cars for something dark back on the pavement. Nothing presented itself. I made special attention noticing people examining a treasure (purse) they had just found. Nothing like that. An Edmonton transit service (Ets) security officer was taking a statement from somebody in the lower concourse to the upper train platform I interrupted him to see if anyone reported a missing purse. No. I got on the train and into work. I was almost going to take the night off. I’m glad I didn’t. I ended up pulling in $1,135 and a $20 credit card. I got another call from Anne and we felt bad about her losing her purse. Of course top total in the room again and no bonus. I get no sign of recognition, nothing.

Anyway I’m out the door and over to the Lrt. I miss the first train home but I caught the regular 9:11pm train (extra cars on the tracks because of the 1st Oiler hockey game of the training camp season) to Clairview station. There was Diane heading up the stairs of the lower concourse ahead of me to the buses and ending up finding someone to chat with. I decided to walk home. I had a nice walk home in the darkness and into my humble abode. Everything as I left it. I powered up the computer to get it working from that improper shutdown and shut it back down to watch Raw. Prior to the show I did my admin stuff marking my totals in my pocket calendar. I still got to add up that $20 credit card.

All in all I had quite a couple of rough 6 hours. It was time to enjoy some good old wrestling. Then Anne comes home and we chew out the last of the missing purse mystery. Here’s what she believed happened. Apparently she didn’t lose it at the Dollarama. Wrestling was awesome. The thing about the purse was she had it on the train and recall putting aside going through receipts and stuff. She was so tired she (we think) forgot about the purse and walked away from it. I did that with her bag last year until someone the following day brought it forward. She thought somebody stole it at work because a co worker asked her if she found her purse yet.

After all of that, I’m still taking Thursday off to go to lodge. She’s got $20 bucks left over and I get paid on Thursday so were alright for now.

Raw was excellent. On a scale of 1-10 I’d rate it another 10. Also, the Oilers won their first training camp game 5-4 over visiting Florida Panthers. The Oilers first regular season game will be Thursday (lodge night) October 4th Hosting the SJ Sharks. Anson Carter back? It could happen. I always liked him.

Anyway that’s all for now
