I had a nice relaxing trip onto work except the escalator was under maintenance. Same with the escalator at Corona. What the heck? It was on the cooler side of warm this afternoon and it felt like +15C. Nice and sunny. I got in and we settled into the kick off. So Will then decides he’s going to put pressure on us, I made enough noise between Edgar, my neighbor and I that if he’s going to move me to semies. I’m going home. Not quitting the job but I’ll go home for the night. It took me half an hour or more to get $50, meanwhile Edgar was just flying ahead of me total wise. It was the big taps that slowed us down. I managed about $250 before the break. Pain in the ass and the calls were really pissing people off. The worst of all this is we’ve got the rest of this week to do the calling. Luckily Will never moved me out and in the 2nd half I got a call from Anne about how she’s going to order Pizza Hut for us tonight. Great. I did a lot better in the 2nd half calling the small and medium size taps, most of which were $25/20 taps. But when your on a roll with that it doesn’t take long to get $200/300 bucks on your recap in just a few hours. All the $25/20 sales add up. I ended up with a respectable $470.

Also, it seems Rob went and abandoned the weekly bank report we were all enjoying so much of. At least I was. It was fun to see what my weekly bank was. Now he’s putting up a small bank bonus based upon % banked. It’s too complicated to go into at this time and I’m not sure I understand all of the ins and outs of this new system myself. There’s an 8.5x11 sheet of paper circulating around the family room explaining all about it. It’s actually pretty good of course line hour not withstanding. Rob will find another way to screw us out if it and before long I see this new system falling apart. I give it by the end of the year. Welcome to Xl.

Will let us out a bit early by about 20 min and I ran over to Corona to get my bus home before. I made it before the Diane 9:11pm Clairview connection. Whew! It was surprisingly mild out there this evening on the way home. Anne and I talked about me off for Tuesday/today but I need to put the extra hours in. I’m not down on Xl, where I work and all and I think this new bonus structure, initially (on paper) does look intriguing. It holds some promise once I understand it but I’ve seen these things fall apart before. To Robs credit I’ve actually made some money especially when we had the OTH teams between JT and I.

Raw wasn’t bad. On a scale from 1-10 I’d rate it maybe a 6. The midget was good tonight. I called Anne while watching Raw and she ordered Pizza from the train on the way home. She picked up my mail and we got the envelope from CRHC and I got my lodge newsletter.

Earlier before lunch this afternoon I began to rough out my outline for GA I’ve got 80 scenes and a pretty good premise for the novel.

Also, I’ve been a casual lurker at Chris Robinson’s Blog and he’s been releasing something he calls Friday fiction. I mentioned last week that I’ve got my own Friday Snippets up on my site and explained how it’s not a web ring etc. Anyway, he replied and said how he’s going to my site and check it our. I'm not suggesting he's going to post his snippets up on my site or anything. The fact that I've even got a professional Tor science fiction author checking my site out, how cool is that? He checked in at about 7:30am yesterday morning if only for a few minutes. Cool.
