I'm a day behind here.

well, that was a nice lunch. Just a macaroni hamburger frozen entrée type thing. I’m about to read here and charge my cell phone before I head out into work and when I get in I’m going to look up Charles and see what he’s been up to lately.

I had a longer chat there with him, on my cell I should have used the Company phone after the break and we filled each other in over the years. After that I continued back to work feeling pretty good. I got a call from Anne and we had a nice chat there for awhile, while I was making some calls. I ended up with a $415 total for tonight and a $50 credit card. Willie let us off a bit early and I hung around to give Charles a call while he was still at work. The surprising thing was he’s living on his own in an apartment building right beside my old bachelor apartment/place on 156th cool. The rest of the stuff I won’t go into to protect his privacy.

Anyway Will finally gave us our pay checks and I got $181 on mine. After I talked with Charles I left out of Xl about 9:10pm for the later train. A bit of a wait at Corona and on the train home, I tried calling Anne, no answer and she called while I was on the bus waiting to pull out of Clairview station. I got in did my usual business adding my totals and credit cards in, that sort of thing and here I am. Altogether I had a great night.

I’ve got another 65 pages of “Grasp the Stars” left to read and then it’s off to Charles Stross’s “Accelerando.” I’ve got 3 of his books now and Gardner Dozois’s New “Space Opera.” but that most likely won’t be until December. And that’s my read over the Holidays.

Anyway that’s all for now

It was a beautiful afternoon heading into work yesterday. First thing I did is went to the "not in use" business phone and tried getting a hold of Charles at the museum. My first couple of attempts failed and I thought, geese what if because of the name change they let him go and out sourced security to a 3rd party. Then I called directory assistance (not on my cell) and asked them if there was a security number listed at the museum, no but there was an emergency number. I took that and dialed hoping for the best. I recognized Charles’s voice and we had a nice little chat. We traded cell phone numbers as well there. So we had a nice chat there for awhile about old times. He’s writing again, good and still holding down his security guard position with the Government. He’s not doing much of any gaming at all anymore and like me he’s been out of the loop. This was brought to my attention earlier by Charles that I’ve got some spelling mistakes in various places throughout my website. That doesn’t surprise me. He was reading my "About me" page and noticed them there and in my blog, no doubt. I made a 2nd pass at my last blog entry and caught most of them.
