I met my wife down there at Clairview station and we had a bit of a wait so I took a few pictures on our way to the upper concourse. The ride in was pleasant and I got out of Corona Station and took a few more pictures. So here are about 8 of them. I’ll see if GL can handle them all.

This picture I took just before catching the bus outside, 2.5 hours before sunset. This time of night had a real Halloween kind of feel to it;

This picture I took of my lovely wife Anne as she’s hobbling down the stairs heading into the lower concourse. The designers should have put escalators on the outside. Bunch of idiots:

Here’s a shot of the upper concourse as the LRT train is in about ready to leave. The flash is obliterating the oncoming train, the one that we did take.

This shot is of the condos that just went up. Back in the day we’d call them apartments but the developers are selling these cracker-jack framed units at $250,000 each. That’s an old Jimmy style bus still on the streets.

Audrey’s books. Just outside of Corona taken about 4:20pm:

This is a shot of the old Arlington apartment building tucked between the 2 large buildings in the foreground. Right where the parking lot warning is behind the red truck is where Hobbits Fantasy shop stood. Hobbits was the greatest place in the City in the late 1970’s for anything related to SFF and even war games. They tore it down to make way for development that never came thanks to the Federal National Energy Program. The infamous NEP. This lot has been vacant and used for parking since 1982:

Anyway we were playing the credit card game for a minute off work. I got 2 credit cards 1 for $35 and one at the end of my shift for $25. So that’s $60 on credit cards. Not to shabby. Of course we were doing Block Parents the first half. Anne called me at the break and it was raining outside. Getting rain in October is weird. I worked out the rest of the shift dong AES and it felt like a Friday night getting out early with 32 credit cards by 8:20pm and that meant we got out 32 minutes earlier. I called Anne to let her know I’m on my way home. I got my 8:35pm train and the #11 Northgate was waiting for me just pulling out of Clairview station.

So Premier Ed Stelmach will find a happy medium that satisfies the royalty review panel quest for more royalties and one that wont shy away big business s but we’ll have to wait until tomorrow to find out which way he’ll go. I don’t mind a bit if an increase say 10% more. Oil prices are at an all time high right now, well over $80 barrel.

The other story is that our dollar is now over taking the US dollar. We are now worth more then the US dollar. The Canadian dollar is worth last time I checked $1.03. It hasn’t been this high since 1977 when Star Wars came out. Thirty years seems like such a long time ago.

Another thing, I checked Adsense and nobody from Adsense management etc has responded to my site approval yet. I’m getting more help from Markus then from Adsense. I want to get this thing up and running on my site so the only thing that needs done now is to get Markus that BW photo. Lev is kind of busy because he’s got a teaching position now. So tomorrow night I’m going to get a better photo of me and see if Markus can touch it up and BW it for me.

Anne made us a nice lunch and her perogees and a couple of smokies. We settled into watch the evening news. Good stuff. Time to Blog this and hopefully get some writing done or read. I think I’d like to read a bit.

Anyway, that’s all for now

e. Jim
