Thursday come and gone

I went into work on my own yesterday afternoon without incident. I went to the back wall and found my original dialer open. There was no coat article of clothing or a sign called “taken for the evening shift.” It literally meant a vacant seat. So I found a dish nearby and I moved it thinking it’s garbage from the afternoon shift. I got my stuff together and then to find out Jay comes in saying that’s his spot. Well excuse me, I’m here now. There was nothing to indicate anyone was sitting there. So I stood my ground saying I’m not budging. So he gets all upset about it and said some things. “Relax J it’s just a seat already,“ I thought, how childish. “there are a lot of other empty dialers around.” I wasn’t going to move. So we began the shift and about an hour into it I noticed J had left. Jesus, he had no intention of sitting there he just want to exercise control. (Gary his buddy sat with me and didn’t want to get involved. Good for him.) “It’s my seat until I say other wise.” I think he wanted to work the shift, because I think I saw him across the wall on the other side but left pouting about it. I think he had no intention of working the shift anyway

I had a pretty good night and had about $320 at the break and a credit card. Anne called after the break and Donny handed me my pay cheque. I got all my bonuses from last week and all my hours. Good stuff. I had a pretty good night even though I ended up with about $465. We did the credit card things again and I ended up with (I think) the top total. Also we got out 20 minutes early and I was able to catch that early Clairview train home. I called Anne as I left the office and walked across the parking lot and had a 5 min wait for my train. Extra cars on the track because of the Oiler/Wild hockey game.

Greg told me just before leaving the game was tied at 4 each. Somebody is scoring goals. I got in about 9:15pm and listened to the last bit on Ched with 2 minutes remaining. They went into over time and the Oilers won in a shoot out. Hey. Great stuff. I got a call from Anne at Superstore to get some deluxe macaroni and chicken strips but they didn’t have the chicken strips so she got the nuggets instead. They weren’t as good but we watched the 11pm news.

Ok about the Premiers royalty review panel/decision. It appears that the Province is going ahead with some of the recommendations from the review board but despite what Ed Stelmach said this is not a compromise. Meanwhile Big Oil went and posted huge profits this year to the tune of $700 Million+ I think that’s what Petro Canada made alone. The changes won’t take place anyway until 2009. Also as I predicted, oil went to just over $90/barrel. This in itself is amazing. I predict by the end of the year oil will sit at just over $100/barrel. You heard it hear first.

In doing my paper on “global warming” I wanted to know more about natural Co2 sources. Water vapor counts for 99.999% of greenhouse gas emissions. This according to “Global Warming a closer look at the numbers.” Just type this into Google. It’ll come up right away. AG and his climatologists would have us believe that Co2 is a manmade substance when in fact manmade Co2 is negligible representing about 0.28% of all Co2 emissions. So much for the hockey stick rule. It’s CFC’s that are man made and a moratorium on their production was halted some years ago. I think people are confusing CFC’s with Co2. More on this later on.

So anyway, it will be the market value of oil that will determine price and thus revenues. I think Ed did the right thing. It’s going to take Big oil a bit of time to adjust but the oil is there and so are their investments. The half a billion dollars in royalties is a drop in the bucket for these guys when oil is sitting at an all time high.

Next week is lodge night and I’m saving my $20 for lodge night. Even if Neil isn’t going. I’m going to go one way or another. I love going to the lodge.

I went and called Audrey’s books and none of my order books are there. I’m going to call Trevor tomorrow and see if he’ll be able to order the rest of the Trade Pack Universe books for me.

No word yet on Adsense. I asked Markus if her could re install the code for me. I want to test and see if it’s registered. I haven’t been getting any good success yet with Adsense and so far they haven’t band me. Having them approve my site seems to be the befits hurdle.

Anyway, that’s all for now
