Wednesday afternoon

A bit choppy writing here this afternoon but here goes. Yikes! Did I ever sleep in late today. We went to bed at our usual time, 3am. Coast was pretty good last night although I listened to only some of it. The Topic last night was about the Bilderburg group and of course Alex Jones has to show up and take over. I turned the radio down and about 3:30am I passed out. I got up about 5:30am and did the cbi thing and read for a half hour. I’m enjoying this book by Joe Haldeman “Camouflage.” I’m about half way through it. When I’ve got a good total at work and the calls are coming in slow, I pause my dialer and read a page or two. Then it’s back to work for twenty minutes, read another page. That sort of thing, which is why I like my evening job. Next week I’m going to be putting extra some hours in. Uggh. Now if I don’t get those bonuses on Thursdays cheque then I’m taking Saturday off. We’re not getting paid for Remembrance Day but it’s a long weekend for most everyone else. If Christmas fell on a Sunday they wouldn’t pay us for that either. I got to get out of Xl. Anyway, I ended up back to bed about 6:30am and other then getting up to pee, I slept until 1:15pm. Yikes! I didn’t want to sleep this late. That’s over 9 hours right there.

Wednesdays. I usually do pretty good on a Wednesday at Xl and if not I can blame it on a Wednesday. Sounds like the name of a song or something.

Nothing special happening today. I don’t have much time left here on the computer to do anything substantial here. I haven’t read anything from my friend Keith since October 30th. I go to his Blog just about everyday and there’s been nothing new posted since then. He’s been having trouble with his websites and hosting company lately. He’s tech savvy enough where I think he should host his site on his own.

November is slowly moving into the middle of the month and we’re getting some rain and snow flurry mixed together. Yesterday was +8C out there and that’s pretty good for this time of year. Right now it’s +5C. What I don’t like is the freezing rain. It sticks to pavement and makes everything out there like an ice rink. Slippery as hell. They got freezing rain up there in Grand Prairie just a few hundred miles north of us and that was responsible for a Greyhound bus accident where it killed 3 bus passengers. Freezing rain usually happens in the spring and this time of year. We don't have any freezing rain right now but there is a weather advisory warning for Northern Alberta. Hopefully we can pass it and avoid it altogether.

I’m still enjoying my first coffee here. Anne’s going to ride in with me so I’ve got to take her bag down to Clairview station. Oh the Oilers are in Denver tonight. I might even bring my little radio so I can get the game on and listen in between calls. See how badly they can lose tonight. I've got a feeling that they are going to win this won. For a team that is supposedly last in the league they aren’t far behind a lot of teams that are a game or two wins away. There are only a maybe 3 teams that have won 8-9 games out of the 15 so far played. The Oilers record is 5-10, I think. They’re playing well except they have to stay out of the penalty box. These days you just touch a guy with the stick and the ref will call a penalty.

I meant to call Doris there a bit last night from work but got to busy on my break, just to touch base with everyone until I get a Wallmart calling card but because they are an hour behind us the best time for me to call is on my break at 7pm after Anne. I can use the company phone to call because they have a flat rate. Doris should be closing up shop at 6 and home by 7. We’ll see how that goes, just to say hi. Anne says the calling card lets me call on Sundays at 5 cents/minute. So I’ll see about getting one and while Anne is out and about I’ll call Mike and Doris and chat for a bit. As for Charles, well he’s most likely still in BC which is why he hasn’t been calling me lately.

The other thing is, I’ve been wanting to get some extra Ram in my PC. About a gig. I don’t know the brand name of the Ram and I don’t have the tools to get into the case. All I do is bring my computer over to Future Shop and they’ll test the Ram for me to make sure it’s all compatible. The other thing is, Ram at memory express is cheaper and I haven’t been to the store yet and Charles might be able to drive me over there to pick up some parts and I can install it all right there since he's been there a few times and has a vehicle to get there. We’ll see.

Anyway, that’s all for now

e. Jim
