yeesh. Since Anne renewed my cell phone feature, I kept on hearing that I have $9 balance remaining. Then it went down again and again. Today when she called saying how she got me a couple of Cw sales I asked why is the operator intercept saying I had $1 left? She didn’t have an answer for me but just continue talking and see what happens. We found out soon enough when the line to my cell phone went dead. I called her back on the cordless and she gave me a 3 digit number to call. I called and asked what happened to the feature and the operator said that there was a 911 service charge of .25 cents and my service provider took that off the top right away and as a result of that I began to be charged on the .25 cents/min plan instead of the feature.

So Anne and I had a big fight over this. Anyway, the operator put an extra $15 meeting me half way. Anne called me right back saying she got another sale and I called letting her know I’m leaving the building etc thinking all the while maybe Telus reconsidered my lack of knowledge on this service charge and reset the feature back to what it’s supposed to be. Then when I got home Anne called Telus and explained everything to her. Anne basically called me a liar accusing me of calling during the day at the .25 cent/min rate. I only called Neil. I called days on weekends where I can do it at the feature rate, which is weekends. So if that’s the way she’s going to be, then I want nothing o do with cell phones. This really leaves a sour taste in my mouth over them then. I changed my mind I’m going to renew my feature but I’m not going to use the automatic renewal and I’m only keeping the phone for my own personal use. She even erased my calling log so I couldn’t ask the operator to trace my calls to see how many times I used it up the extra money above the feature. Anyway every thing is more or less sorted out. From now on that cell phone doesn’t leave my hands and nobody uses it but me even if I have to wear it around my neck.

As I left the office it began to snow. It was actually quite nice out there but slippery on the plastic like souls of my sneakers. This is winter boot type weather out there. The only rough waking spots is across that parking lot and when we get snow other wise for the most part it’s not that bad walking wise in the winter.

We didn’t have the game on at work because it was an 8:30pm start. I’d get home most likely to catch the mid 2nd period in progress. However when I got home there was almost all of the 2nd period as the Oilers were ahead of LA 2-1. And of course tacky LA fans shouting “Oilers suck,” yeah, that’s why the Oilers are up several more positions in the Conference standings and have won their last 3 games 2 of, which are on the road. Yeah, Oilers suck. I don’t think so. At least Anaheim hockey fans have more class then LA fans and when an LA fan got accidently got struck by an Oiler player shooting the puck over the glass, Gagner stayed by the glass on their exit towards the dressing room having a concerned chat with a fan. Yeah Oilers suck. I don’t think so. But that’s hockey and every team gets that.

Ok other then the brouhaha with Anne and the cell phone fiasco, I had a pretty decent night. I even watched a bit of Raw but I was more interested in the Oilers hockey game. They had to go to a shoot out to win. And yet Yahoo Sports still hasn’t made the adjustments i the standings.

Anyway, Anne was all worried about how one of her three gold fish was dying but I saw it up there by the side of the tank floating around like a happy camper.

So it seems that the Tivo is now available in Canada. Happy days. Thanks for the info Dennis. The only drawbacks are the Tivo isn’t available in HD and has a $12.95 month subscription fee. I also don’t know if Tivo is compatible with Shaw cable. If it is then great, however the Tivo is pretty limited because of it's lack of HD  support. But I’m sure that will change. I’d really enjoy Tivo because I can record my wrestling shows and my other favorite shows like Rifleman and some of the new shows I haven’t been able to watch because I’m either at lodge or at work. HD is still rather limited anyway. Tivo here in Canada is $199, which is still pretty pricey. It'd be perfect with a wide screen TV and an Xbox. Of course my priority is my writing but after my writing, then I can enjoy the Xbox, Tivo and the big screen TV and all the rest. We have plans for the wides screen TV and the Xbox in the Spring. The Tivo, well we'll see how it goes.

    Anyway, that’s all for now

    e. Jim
