More of Saturday

I had no problem going into work this morning. I had my music to keep me company and even though it was cold out there, I just headed strait to the office. I met Bud and Danny in the elevator. I scoped out the seat closest to the post and that’s where I was going to sit for the shift. We did WCS and played the 1 credit card=1 min go home early. I ended up 3 credit cards. The first half went by really well. I had just over $500 by break. Poor Bud was struggling and I almost took that dialer as well. Anne had called saying that our microwave oven was on he fritz. Then she said something about the hall lights losing power. Anyway, we ended up as a room with 40 credit cards. That meant we went home early by 40 min. I called Anne as I left the building and she says the microwave is fine, basically we had a minor power outage again. I caught the train for Clairview and Anne called at Stadium saying she was ordering me this new kind of glucose reader. Apparently the new reader is set up where I wouldn’t need to calibrate the test strip number with ever batch. So I got to Clairview dead tired and Anne called. She was just outside here waiting for a bus for Clairview. We’d pass each other and as I’m coming around the corner in my bus I had her on the phone saying. “Oh there you are. I see you waving.” She was going one way and I the other on the same street. I was glad to get home and I crawled into bed and passed out. I think I had an hour nap. All in all, I had a pretty good afternoon.

Earlier while going over my blog rolls, on Robert J Sawyer’s blog he’s introducing his friend and fellow Tor author Walter Hunt. I’ve never heard of this fellow. But he’s an SF author that blogs and I’m always looking to check out pro SF authors that blog. I went to his site and it didn’t take me long enough to learn he’s an avid Freemason. He seemed to be in my age group as well. It seems he is in Toronto on some kind of Masonic activity. So I decided to post a comment on his blog with a brief introduction of me being a Mason as well and an aspiring SF author. I asked him what Masonicly is going on in Toronto this weekend? So far he has yet to respond.

Anne's been providing me with cell phone updates all afternoon since I woke up. She's been pretty busy all day missing buses, trying to get to the discount food truck only to find they are not there today. It's an hour there and an hour back for her. So she's going to KFC to pick me up one if their big crunch chicken burgers. I don't ordinaraly like their chicken but the Big crunch is pretty decent.

Anyway, that’s all for now

e. Jim
