Anne was late getting home and when she did come in through the door about 10:40pm she said she was at the Windsphere at the tail end of the Canadian idol gala as it was just wrapping up. She didn’t get any autographs or anything but she had fun being close to the idols if only for a few minutes. She enjoyed what little of the event she saw but it was on the way home. The show was mostly for the younger set but she had fun and it didn;t cost her anything. So I requested the Hot hamburger and fries for lunch. Good stuff. We watched the news and a bit of Et. And here I am.

From this afternoon: If things go well tonight I could have my vacation pay on my pay cheque that is if Rob faxed my release form Monday. My cheque should read something like $400. Les tax of course, maybe less. I’d say $385. Something like that. As long as I have enough for my website for another year and I have $30 towards lodge dues. Good stuff. The balance of that will go towards a couple of Christmas presents for my wife and our Christmas dinner at The Sawmill (my share) We will probably go for that on the 23rd..  

We retired for bed about 3am and I listened to a bit of Coast and passed out and I woke up a few times to pee and woke up around 7am and did the cbi thing. Coast was pretty good. I'd have liked to stay up for the whole thing but sleep came first. I slept ok from there, other then trips to the bathroom. The mornings are always the roughest because it’s harder to get back to sleep but I think I got about 7 and a half hours and that’s good enough for me.

Last night I worked on the story a bit and I’m coming to the conclusion. I think the ending is rather week and I could tighten this up a bit. So, tonight I’m heading into work and I’ll have the radio on for the hockey game. Since it’s in Detroit it’s a 5:30pm start. The game will be over by the time we leave for home. Hopefully I’ll have another good night and maybe some more bonus money. But for now, I’m going back to work on the story.
