Recap from last night |
|
Okay I left out of here as Anne was having a little cat nap trying to get better. I got my bus pass for January. I managed a bit of reading from my book on the way in. Reading a Peter F. Hamilton short story. I like his stuff. We’re playing OTH tonight, so J said as I met him coming out of the parking lot by Frst Edmonton place. Good stuff. I got a dialer beside JT as I was feeling in a pretty good mood. Rob reset the OTH list and we usually do good the 2nd time around whenever he does this. Also JT won the credit card race he‘s apparently going to Vegas with $15,000 in credit cards he banked. Good for him. I let JT and Moe know about losing my brother Rick they felt bad for me. Poor Rick. Anyway I got 5 credit cards on the night and I would have had 6 if it hadn’t been a guy that ran out on me the last second. JT and I had fun trying to hit Linda with a paper balls. Then when Greg came over at the half after JT left we resumed with the entertainment. It was a fun evening and I got myself a $10 bonus to boot. Whu who! Total credit cards: $160 on the night. When JT left at 7pm I moved over to his seat and gave my seat to Greg and we had the Oiler hockey game on the radio behind us. Moe even brought in a couple boxes of donuts for the staff as well but I didn’t know until the last minute because I was on the phone with a customer but I managed to scrap up one. All in all I had a pretty good night. I didn’t want to ride in with the East Indian kids. Nice fellows but I needed to be by myself. I had a bit of a wait at Clairview and was in the door shortly before Anne got in. We have the rent paid Everything seems to be ok for now. Also, the Oilers won in OT. Wow! Also they play again tomorrow night and it’ll be a Thursday night. I even got my Oiler game schedule for January. Right on.
I was kind of hoping Markus would have my photo for my website up and running when I got home. No luck there. I think he will by the weekend.
Also, I managed to get a bit of writing done. Mostly planning for HT. I’ll be working at it again after lunch tonight.
The other thing I wanted to do was more practicing but I did a lot last night. I want to point Neil to the Star Wars lesson I’m learning. There is a tricky part in there I'm not getting. The instructor is moving his hand so fast it’s hard to tell. This is during the C,G,E, chord. He’s moving his thumb over to hit the G chord right away. I wish he could do that in slow motion. It's the right hand part. It looks like he’s hitting his thumb on the A and B notes. Like he goes E, G, and A, B then moves his whole hand over to the G chord. I can follow what’s going on, I just don’t know if he’s moving his thumb underneath everything going on or over to G or what? It’s a bit tricky.
Also in the newspaper here just East of us outside of the City limit’s the Province is spending $Billions on an up-grader Bitman (Oil) refineries. This will accelerate the economy even more. It takes a lot of water to extract Bitman and critics are saying this could develop into an environmental disaster if not handled right. The Province wants to go slow and easy and I agree with that. It's all fine and well for the refineries and all but if there is no infrastructure like transportation and housing, this whole thong could fall flat on it's face.
Okay, I've been saying lately tha Oil will be reaching $100/barrel. Ding, ding ,ding, ding! At this evenings close Oil sat at $99 and change. This is mainly due to the political unstability in the Africa/Kenya this time. I also opredicted the Hollywood writers strike will last until about Labor day
Anyway, that's all for now
