I had a nice trip into the office and got my Tim’s breakfast sandwich and hash browns. My bill came to $6 and some change. WTF? I got to the office and found dialer #2 and dug into my breaky. The hash browns were small about the size of a cell phone lid. They tasted like cardboard for what they want for them? What disappointment. We had a good crew today. Again with the credit card race. I got 2 of them for another 4 bucks. I called Anne. She’s holding up as can be expected. She’s in today as well. We did CPA for the first half. I got a $10 and later a $20 credit card. Good for $4 bucks. We did OTH in the 2nd half. J got 2 cc’s Dan got 1. I don’t know where we stood because we had 3 of our team missing. We’re still in weekend OTH limbo. I was holding up alright as well working on maybe an hour or 2 sleep. So far this week in bonuses: $28. I’m asking in the close of every sale for a credit card. I got zero in the 2nd half. I came close a few times but the customer pulled out.

The good news is we got out 40 min early. This credit card/minute thing is a good idea and apparently successful. But watch Rob will pull it back because were doing so good with it. Same with the cc bonus. Rob will see that Monday morning and have a shit fit. “I gave away $40 in bonuses in one day?” Yikes. I can hear it now Monday: “Ok the credit card bonus is just for Saturdays not during the weekdays.” He’s such a weasel.

Anne’s back. I was glad to get out of the office. I left a bit latter to avoid all the East Indian crowd. So tonight, I’m going to work on some character sheets for HT watch the maybe get a bit of practicing in and watch the evening news and this evening wind up my Saturday.

SF signal had a bit in their Tidbits “Is Sci-fi running out of ideas?” I was the first to comment on this and you can read my response here. Keep in mind I had very little sleep when I wrote this.

I read the Peter F. Hamilton story “Blessed by an Angel.” Not bad. I didn’t like it as much as the Kage Baker story previous to it. I’m about 2/3rds of the way through the half way part of the book. I’m enjoying it.

Well the Oilers are at home tonight facing off against New York Rangers. The Oilers have a nice 5 game at home stretch going on and I hope they get hot again and put together a winning streak like Calgary is on. They really need to make some gains in the month of January.
