A Tuesday update |

okay I think I’ve been handling this CPP disability thing all wrong. Something Mike said last week. He said CPP refers you to their Doctors. I did it all wrong in my 1996 attempt. I got the form and got my Doctor to go through it with me. CPP sets you up with a local specialist and I work with them. I got to call Mike about this tomorrow and confirm. I think the only thing my Doctor does is set up a radiologist. So when and if this is the proper process and I have the interview with the CPP Doctor, I’ll mention my back is worse then my brothers because I have hardware in my spine. I might find that if this is the right way to go about getting CPP disability m I might find no resistance at all. The Doctor: “Well, X-rays certainly confirm what the obvious physical says. I’ll sign this and recommend you for approval.” If I can get my first cheque for June, then excellent. It will relieve a lot of stress off my shoulders.
The other thing in my inbox today was from the New Westminster public library. Shelley at the reference desk. Not that I ever met her but this was in response for my photo search request from the other day. I got the response back. Not what I was looking for. She typed in aerial in the search field and came up with everything but. Nothing downtown. I replied a nice thank you. She gave me the link to the New Westminster archives website. I’m going to invetigate that next. They have over 8,000 photo’s in their data base. I came up empty at the Library.
Left over hamburger helper for lunch. What I used to do with it was freeze up a serving microwave to thaw and cook it up in a frying pan. Made it taste better. It’s a lunch for my insulin.
Nothing going on for tonight. No hockey, no Raw. I’m going to try and call Service Canada again to get that form. If there’s time. Basically tonight it’s writing.
I took this shot of the window about 40 minutes ago. It’s a standard double pane glass. Notice the ice build up on the outside window. This is surprising because it’s not that cold out there. -11C and no wind chill That's Pledges my 17 year old cat. He's my buddy.
Well the gst cheque came in this afternoon. Anne called from work a few minutes ago saying that she picked it up on her way out. If all goes well, I can take the $100 use that for my website and what’s left over I suggested Anne and I get us a Pizza for tonight. The cheque is only for $118 bucks. It used to be about $140 but the Feds have been watering it down by taking a percentage point off over the last several years. It was at 7% now it’s at 5%.
A couple of things today. It seems that UK Post has come out with some James Bond Ian Flemming stamps. I like this idea. Robert J. Sawyer stamps up next? Maybe not in my life time but you heard it here first.
Anyway, that’s all for now.
