Job changes and earth changes |

Going in was alright although a bit on the colder side this afternoon. Nothing like the weather we used to get in the 1980’s. I recall how we’d get day’s of -25C’s in a mid January week and a break of -8C’s for a day or 2. The world is changing. I used to think -16C was warm in the winter!
Anyway, I got into work and got a dialer beside Greg and settled into the job. Still struggling with this cough and cold. Uggh. I had $405 by break. Gary went and cost me a sale with his historical laughter. I could have killed him. He doesn’t realize these mics are open. He does but doesn’t care. Anyway, I was glad when he got out of there at 7pm. Anne called “Bar” the other call center that tried to recruit her last week. She told Anne over the phone she was hired. I have reservations about the place because of the address out there by the old Heart and Stroke location I used to work at in the late 1990’s. She’s off at 9:30pm and she has to take a bus get off at Corona and take the train home. I’m going to worry about her from the time she gets off work until she comes home. Is management going to let her off a few minutes before her shift so she can catch the bus to the lrt so she doesn’t have to wait around for half an hour for the next bus? I don’t like that end of town. I’d rather she take the other job right downtown where she can go from work to the lrt. She said Bar have 24 stations. They’re not a big call center by any means.
I had a fairly good rest of the night though. We watched 2 movies “Fantastic Four” With the Silver Surfer in it and “Terminator.” I had the hockey game on and I was listening to that more then watching Terminator. The Kings had the Oiler’s number from the get go and won the game 3-1 last night. The Oiler’s seemed to have been playing terrible. Also Calgary lost to Nashville and that put Nashville even further ahead. I left out of there hoping I’d just get lucky and have a nice quiet ride home but the Indian kids followed me to the other car just when I thought I’d lost them, they come in. My voice was being put through it’s paces enough as it was. I didn't feel like talking. That was ok, Sundeep and the gang are nice people and I have a bit in common as Sundeep and his buddy design’s websites. I got in about 9:30pm.
Anne got in around 10pm and I got my $20 plus the $5 COH so I have enough for lodge night and Anne’s left over reward points will get me a couple of books for Saturday. If I get out there to Coles that is. If Anne likes the job she could get a pay cheque probably as early as Friday February 1st. Anne said if she gets all the pay Con said she’s supposed to get then I get my website and Lodge dues covered. We won’t know this until Friday her last day there. Lots of what ifs.
Coast has a boring show tonight: Animal communicator Amelia Kinkade will discuss her work helping humans to understand the thoughts and emotions of animals through telepathy. First Hour: Nutritionist Carol Simontacchi comments on the FD approval of cloned meat. Uggh. Cayce and the Cosmos is on tomorrow so that’s a bit of a stronger show. Other then that, I’m posting this and I’m going to bed.
