An easy Saturday

I probably could have slept another hour but I’d never get up. This year I’m going to put some extra hours in on the job. Beginning next week. I want a couple of afternoons in/week. If I do 3 afternoons, I’m having Saturdays off.

Anyways I went into work with my 3 $5 bills with the intent of going into Audrey’s and buy one of my books I'd placed on order. I brought Greg’s Cw stuff in as well. I had a pretty good night pulling in 4 credit cards for 8 bucks. I’m feeling better even though I’m experiencing coughing episodes. It takes 3 coughs to get one out type thing. I was doing that all the way into work. I got my end dialer and began to have a pretty good night with CPA. Anne called me at 7pm saying that they had Pizzas nice Mr. Sub sandwiches. It was a goodbye party but Anne said that most of the people here will be working at other call centers downtown. A few of them are even going to Bar next week with Anne so that’s ok.

We played the off early for credit cards and I got 4 credit cards for $8. I had a good night. Anne got 8 surveys. I imagine most of the people that were working for Consumer went to the other call center. I called Anne and she met me at Audrey’s after work and I got the other 2 “Seeds of Time” trilogy and the "Forgotten Reams" book is in a large format Omni bus. $25 CND. I probably could have picked up the other “Seeds of Time” book because it was still US pricing. We went downstairs to Corona and there was the train rushing up to meet us. Of course 2 cars on the train. Standing room only. We weren’t going that far. Central station. I could wait for Anne while she did her banking upstairs. I rode home with her the rest of the way and did my stuff until wrestling. I watched a bit of Smackdown and the news. Anne made a soup and sandwich for lunch. I got caught up on the Oiler/Canes game. Right now the Oiler’s are on a rode trip meeting teams that haven’t won in 5 games. 7-2 Canes in that fiasco. Although the Oiler’s could have played a bit better. Sunday’s outing is in Atlanta and that’s a noon game on SN.

Ok, as for me, I think I might go over to City Center mall and spend those reward points. I need coffee and a few other things. There’s nothing going on for tonight as far as TV goes. Which means I can get some writing done on this cold January Saturday night.

This year Anne said her goal is for us to get that LCD HD TV, a laptop for me (Macbook) and hopefully we can get the Xbox in there as well. Most likely this spring. Of course by that time I’d have 6 months of vacation pay.

One thing we enjoyed from Consumer was getting those reward points. I don’t know what Bra is going to do but if Anne isn’t getting at least $11/hr. then she’s going elsewhere. Even Consumer starts off at $9. The other places starts off at $11. It won’t be worth it for her to start at $9 using the same system she’s been using for the last 5 years. Add to that it’s manual dialing and the extra distance it’s going to take her to get out that way and home at night. Anne said she stated at Consumer at just under $7/hr and she just got a raise as well at Consumer a couple of months ago. Once she realizes what’s going on with Bra if she’s not at $11 she’ll go to the other call centre. The other call center starts at $11 and it’s just around the corner from where she worked at Consumer.

This morning it’s a cold wait in that bus shelter but the wait isn’t long. It’s downtown to Corona and upstairs to Tim’s for my breakfast sandwich. I’ll bring the reward points (if they’re still good) buy some coffee and a book and maybe some lunch as well. If I can put a couple of afternoons in this week maybe I’ll have enough for the Ram. Wouldn’t that be nice.

What would be nice is if Anne gets more reward points. Or something similar. I’d rather have them for West world computers. It’d be nice to have 6 months of reward points and my vacation pay. I’d rather get the Mac at West World because of their customer service reputation. They deal specifically with Mac as well but the reward points are not that company specific. They’d be for things like Walmart, Chapters and the chains or the malls type thing. Bra isn't a national company as far as I know.

Anyway, that’s all for now.
